Off his upcoming Odd Renditions EP dropping on the 15th May is this dope remix of Marvin’s ‘Ain’t That Peculiar’. The Original was recorded and written by Smokey Robinson in ’65 about the torment of a painful relationship and this rendition mostly capitalises on the originals chorus and feeling, with beefed up drums, cut vocals, pounding keys and some nice synth action. Piecing together footage of Marvin performing the song, well edited by Rob Mac. PinBoard favourites K-Os, Metronomy and Bon Iver lso get the remix treatment on the EP, don’t sleep on this one!

Time for some post 2 step – R’n'B wave.

Calvin McElroy aka Kuhrye-oo and Grimes  delve into spacious sonics with hints of R&B incorporated for their new collaborative single ‘Give In (For the Fame)’. Enlisting Grimes to not only co-direct its accompanying iPhone made video but also to star in it. Together they travel across the treacherous plains of a cemetery in New Orleans as well as an abandoned Six Flags theme park. Grimes bravely states “we basically risked our lives for some of these shots”. Glad they made it. Big up the Instagram filters too. Dope tune.

Producer/rapper Swizz Beatz drops off his new video for ‘Street Knock’ which features rising star A$AP Rocky, produced by Araabmuzik. Visually, there’s nothing too innovative but undeniably – the cars, action etc suits the bravado of the song, which also can’t really be denied.

Yesterday we premiered our exclusive episode of Rehearsal Rooms with A$AP Rocky – watch that here.

Justin Bieber performed his new single ‘Boyfriend’ on the U.S version of The Voice.

Not entirely sold on the performance, but I sill think this tune is rather large.

Earlier tonight Plan B performed a brand new song called ‘Lost My Way’ on Later with Jools Holland. The song, taken off his forthcoming soundtrack album Ill Manors combines his talents as a singer and emcee – flipping between both deliveries. Like the LP’s first single, this is another promising insight into what’s to come.

Watch the trailer for Plan B’s new film ‘Ill Manors’ here.

Erykah Badu is the latest artist to take part in Serato’s new online ‘Icon Artist’ series – in which they interview a “hand-picked collection of artists who represent and epiomise the Serato ethos”. In this short clip Badu discusses the difference between her performance on stage to her role as a “selector”

“I play what I like; The people who come to the shows either love it… Or learn it”.

With the release of his critically acclaimed mixtape LiveLoveA$AP last year and the (subsequent) signing of his multi-million dollar record contract, A$AP Rocky stopped by the Red Bull Studios London to exclusively perform some tracks for our Rehearsal Rooms series.

Up first is ‘Pretty Flacko’, a song produced by SpaceGhostPurrp and one that is symbolic of the wave A$AP is ushering in with his movement. Watch that Pretty Mother’fu*ker do his thing up top…

Best watched in 720p or higher.
