Ben Khan’s glistening soul infused pop is difficult to resist; especially when its back up by a stellar debut EP like 1992. Today, the 21 year-old magician unveiled the BRTHR directed visual to his super vibey single ‘Youth’. Find yourself mesmerised by the graphic but gorgeous aesthetics while a story unfolds in thematic flashes.

Sidenote: We’ve been talking about Ben for nearly a year now, so its exciting to see him beginning to get support from further afield – both online and offline.

Since signing to Terrible/XL Recordings earlier this year, Hip Hop artist LE1F has been absolutely killing it. He dropped a killer debut EP packaged as Hey, made his live debut on American television with David Letterman, and today, blesses with a swaggy music video for ‘Sup’. Badman.

Since Usher has been taking care of business on The Voice, the landscape for male R&B-pop singers has shifted quite a bit. Granted young guns Chris Brown and even Justin Bieber still have a long way to go before they’re considered genuine threats, but with the return of Justin Timberlake and the universal smash hit ‘Blurred Lines’ was for Robin Thicke – Usher has a lot to contend with. But as ‘Good Kisser’ proves, Raymond has little to be concerned about; Taken off his forthcoming eighth album his new single is every bit the smash we’ve come to expect from one of R&B’s longest reigning frontmen (and yes, we’re purposely ignoring all the Euro-trash shit that came after Confessions). Musically confident, vocally ferocious and generally well put together – everything here signals great things to come from that new album. This is a smash.

Well come back Ursh.

We’re all accustomed to Kwabs’ era-defying vocals and so its pleasant surprise when someone like him is motivated enough to create an equally resonating visual to accompany their music. The Emil Nava directed video for ‘Pray For Love’ produced by Plan B is a wonderfully cinematic affair centred around two children adjusting to their new lives.

Brooke Candy has made a name for herself by creating outlandish, often NSFW videos and by collaborating with interweb fascinators Grimes and Charlie XCX. Now she’s readying the release of her debut EP Opulence, which is executively produced by songwriting high-priestess Sia. The video for the EP’s title track is every bit the club-kid spectacle Candy has become known for. Gaga will not be pleased. Nor will the ball girls.

which has been executively produced by songwriting high-priestess Sia and launches festivities with a new video for the projects title track.

Every year it seems Coachella manages to ensemble and even more exciting motley crew of performers to headline their stages. This year they outdid themselves by reuniting one of hip hop’s most beloved group – Outkast – following a near 8-year hiatus. Add to that show stopping performances from Pharrell Williams, Disclosure, Nas, A$AP Ferg, Solange, Warpaint, Lana Del Rey, Banks and heaps of others, not to mention the special guests some of these artists brought out including Gwen Stefani, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Juicy J et el.

As the first weekend comes to an end, we’ve compiled some of the best performances from the past two days for you to sit back and enjoy. We’ll keep adding more full performances as they become available. And we’ll do the same with next weekends festivities too. Watch Outkast’s set up top and all the others after the jump.

Who hasn’t been obsessed with Warpaint’s debut album? We’ve been enamoured with them since way (way) back when. Take a look at the girls’ new 8-minute double video for their singles ‘Disco//Very’ and ‘Keep It Healthy’ – both of which serve as awesome singles and subsequent videos. Love.

It’s a little early to tell but RATKING may have released one of my favourite albums of 2014 so far. Their debut album, So it Goes, was released on XL Records today and to launch proceedings they release a new video for the LP’s lead single ‘Canal’. Watch up top and get that album.

17 year-old Atlanta rapper Raury turned heads with his genre-bending debut ‘God’s Whisper’ a few weeks back. Citing the likes of Kid Cudi and Andre 3000 as his influences, Raury manages to blend the raw, rugged flow in his verses with the swooping indie atmospherics to perfection. The accompanying video sees the artist/songwriter/producer at a bonfire in his hometown neighbourhood; donning a nifty, wide-brimmed floppy hat. There’s a full-length long player on its way too, it’s called Indigo Child, watch this space.

After delivering one of last year’s stand out EP’s, producer/vocalist Until the Ribbon Breaks is back with ‘A Taste of Silver’, lifted off his forthcoming EP. At it’s core the song is a rock track, but this being UTRB, things get spicy when he mixes in some snazzy drums, blazing bass’ and some pretty slick vocals. “When you’ve had a taste of silver / then the pennies won’t do”  – preach. The Other Ones EP is out March 25.
