Ifan Dafydd first peaked our interest with his remix of Amy Winehouse’s ‘No Good’ and then again when he reworked Emeli Sande’s ‘Daddy’ single in October ’11. He followed those up with two original songs entitled ‘To Me’ and this, his first official single – ‘Treehouse’. An expansive production, riddled with intricate glitches, soothing chords and thundering basslines – it’s a beauty.

Now Dafydd along with his rising independent label Push & Run present it’s official video exclusively via Dazed & Confused.

The biggest track off their Watch the Throne album, Jay & Yeezy finally release their new video for ‘N*ggas in Paris’. Not what I expected (or hoped for), the video features live performance footage with insane editing – crazy enough to require an ‘epilepsy’ warning before viewing. It’s an enjoyable (albeit uncomfortable) view, but not what I wanted from such an epic tune. They could have come better – see: ‘Otis’.

Lovin’ Kindness this morning, just the pick me up I (and you) needed. Nothing like a bit o’ Disco/Funk to spruce up your Thursday and ‘Gee Up’ is just that. An absurdly addictive bassline, with a Funky guitar section and to boot – a hilarious video. Probably one of the few videos that’s actually made me ‘laugh out loud’ in a while. “Low-fi with Hi-fi values”… Just watch!

Kindness’ debut album World, You Need a Change of Mind is due out March 19th.

Man, Rozay must have taken on some serious acting lessons for this clip – playing a hench drug lord out for revenge is no easy feat. Especially for… Rick Ross? Anyways – peep the Bawse’s latest visuals for ‘Yella Diamonds’ from his Rich Forever mixtape. And then have a moment of silence for 20 billion chinchillas that made that jacket he dons at the end.

Off the upcoming Black Sands Remixed longplayer comes this poignant reworking featuring the homie DELS alongside the original Andreya Triana vocals. The track surfaced back in ’10 as part of the Ninja Tunes XX celebrations and has finally got the visual treatment courtesy of duo Charlie & Joe. DELS is performing with Bonobo and Lapalux as part of tonights Boiler Room session (airing at 8 GMT) which is sure to be a heavyweight session. Black Sands Remixed is released Feb 21st.

Who doesn’t love The Black Keys?

The band have just released the video for their new single ‘Gold On the Ceiling’ taken off their new album El Camino. Mainly featuring performance footage, the video doesn’t do very much – but with their brand of Blues-Rock, it doesn’t have to.

Coming out of the big smoke is Shades Of Grey signee Duct. ‘Pensive Stare’ is taken from the upcoming Circles EP dropping in March.  Jumpy time signatures accompanied by equally jumpy editing takes shape to create a nice 2-step bubbler with some intricate beat patterns thrown around to keep your motivated. Would have liked more of that bass that kicks in around the 2 minute mark though. Shot in NYC by Martyn Thomas, the piece is really well edited – I can’t get enough of those subway shots. Looks like 5Pointz in Long Island, how I miss that city!

Bay Area rhythm section The Park have come both visually and musically correct on this new single from their recently released 3-track EP, also called These Are The Days (a harddrive necessity). They have provided backing for the likes of BIG K.R.I.T., Alice Russell and Jesse Boykins III.  This song brings a guitar-driven, vocoder-saturated meltdown accompanied by a kaleidoscopic visual explosion. Smash O’clock.

Hailing from the bay area, singer Mara Hruby has been on the scene since 2010, when she released her free album, From Her Eyes. The album showcases Hruby’s penchant for recording covers and this Bob Marley classic is included. Beautifully sung, every word delicately but passionately felt as the visuals take us through her love of  New York City.

She simply puts it “This is simply my rendition of what I feel through the masterpiece that Bob Marley created. ” Apt that the legend’s birthday was yesterday too. Watch the video up top.

TOKiMONSTA’s new single ‘Darkest (Dim)’, taken off her Creative Dreams EP released last year (via Brainfeeder) is presented in visual form. The song is quietly tender, but electronically charged and it’s video synchronizes well – peep how it fares up top…

Back in November we posted a cover of Carly Simon’s classic ‘Why’ by Aplines & Maya Jane Coles – it was dope. The duo have returned now with the second single off their Collaborations series, this time teaming up with Dark Sky. ‘Tremors’ is another strong offering from the band – a moody Pop number with a respectable room-shaking bassline and tropical accents. Not as favoured as their first single, but good track nonetheless.

Arguably one of the illest emcees grindin’, Pharoahe Monch delieveres a powerful new video for his latest single ‘Still Standing’, which also features Soulstress Jill Scott. The single comes off Monch’s most recent long player W.A.R (We Are Renegades) – out now.

New visuals for the Madlib produced title track off Blu’s J e s u s EP which dropped last year. This extended player was one of many projects / random releases Blu put out in 2011, in addition to his debut major label release N o Y o r k – which in my opinion was one of the dopest experimental Hip Hop albums from ’11. Felt it was largely under-appreciated, probably due in part to the lack of promotion the label put into it. In any case – peep his latest offering up top.

When listening to an artist or band for the first time, my brain attempts to find a suitable place for it on the shelf of my musical minds eye.

On hearing Nedry’s Condors LP a year ago, I would have put this London based trio somewhere between The Prodigy and Tricky. A year and a new single later my brain would slide Nedry’s new material comfortably between Portishead and Bjork.

‘Violaceae’ keeps much of the bands early Trip-Hop influences intact, whilst fusing it together with a newer post-Dubstep sound. The clashing instrumentation doesn’t overpower the vocals of lead singer Ayu Okatita either – vocals which are helplessly reminiscent of Bjork’s ethereal warbles.

Take a few minutes to chill with this track and look for their new album In a Dim Light which drops March 12th.

Air, isolation & prayers for better days seem to be the ingredients of this beautifully moving bass cut by London duo Maribou State. As soon as the deep-seated R&B vocal sample (courtesy of a warped Mary J. Blige) kicks in, the voyage to find yourself in amongst the drugs and dereliction to only end up at the unknown begins; exemplified in the visual accompaniment.

It’s an exotic, emotional strain of dancefloor moodiness that sits magically alongside Jamie XX, Kimbie or Pedestrian.

Their third EP, Olivia, drops Feb 6th on Fat! Records.

At last, after a disappointingly patchy debut album in 2010 that had a couple massive singles but sounded too much like a collation of unfocused demos – LA post-mod R&B crooner Miguel finally starts to hit his potential with this fresh material premiered over at OKP.

Riding the soul train over an 80s kissed electro rare groove with 808 percs like someone’s had ‘Sexual Healing’ on repeat in the studio… the chilled, slinky production and amorous vocal layers make you want to slow wind up on your woman in your best Gucci loafers.

Hopefully there’ll be more of this sexiness when the sophmore set ‘Art Dealer Chic Vol. 1′ drops Feb 27th.

As promised Noisey have premiered M.I.A’s new video for her single ‘Bad Girls’. Once again Mathangi teams up with director Romain Gavras (the man behind her controversial ‘Born Free’ video) to create visuals with a political point.

Madonna’s much hyped new video for ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ featuring M.I.A & Nicki Minaj has been unleashed onto the world. Always one to capitalize on trends, Madge’s latest foray is an upbeat Dance-Pop number that makes a Lady Gaga song sound butch. It’s lackluster and unfortunately the features don’t save it much either. She’s still a bit of a legend though.

‘Give Me All Your Luvin’ comes off Madonna’s forthcoming album MDNA.

New visuals from sci-fi R&B duo Sonnymoon for their new single ‘Morning Person’ taken off their recent 2012 EP. Not much can be said about the video – it’s minimal to say the least – but the beat that drives it, like most of the music these guys put out is rather special. Make sure you peep that EP.

Hearing my favourite artist speak lovingly about two of your favourite new artists/producers makes me feel all fuzzy inside. Here, Erykah Badu speaks about her appreciation for Jamie Woon’s unique brand of new-age R&B, identifying that he is at his core a Blues singer – an affliction she shares. She also talks her thoughts on HudMo, and how he creates unique sonics by layering contrasting genres together.

To boot, the video has clips of the RBMA show the three performed at in Madrid last October with an additional video of the show after the jump. Good times.
