Yesterday our minds were positively blown by King Krule’s majestic ‘Neptune Estate’, today though and a week ahead of it’s scheduled release the artist formally known as Zoo Kid shares a full stream of his debut album 6 Feet Beneath the Moon. Aged just 18, it’s no exaggeration to say that this young man has one of the most uniquely powerful voices on the planet and that this debut will undoubtedly end up one of the highlights of the year. Stream the entire LP below and buy the album on August 24th via XL Recordings. The album is also streaming live over some CCTV of London at kingkrule.co.uk.

Ahead of it’s official release next week A$AP Ferg does the right thing and serves stream of his new album Trap Lord, probably in anticipation of that inevitable leak. The album, which originally started out as a mixtape, features appearances from mob leader A$AP Rocky, Schoolboy Q, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Waka Flocka Flame and more. Head over to Ferg’s official website to stream the album in full.

As Chicago beat makers The-Drum prepare to release their debut album Contact, they release a celestial new trailer filled with hallucinogenic 3D graphics which chronicle each of their 11 new songs. Created and produced by The-Drum and lead designer Theodore Darst, the trailer also features works from Omega Point and Logan Owlbeemoth. Contact is released June 25th.

Gold Panda returns following the release of his 2010 debut Lucky Shiner with a sophomore effort titled Half of Where You Live. For the Essex raised producer the new album seems to represents a sizeable shift from the nostalgia-capturing productions he offered on Lucky Shiner, to a more globally influenced sound. Rich textures from the Far East and South America can be heard amongst his laid-back, still glitched electronic productions. Perfect Monday servings.

Danish duo Quadron follow up their critically acclaimed and much loved self-titled debut album with Avalanche, a 10 track long player filled with warm soulful tones, rhythmic funk and pop imagery. Coco. O and producer Robin Hannibal have certainly progressed since their last outing – their sounds has grown richer, more vivid and certainly a lot more confident. A few tracks have leaked over the past couple days, including their Kendrick Lamar collaboration ‘Better Off’ but we wanted to reframe from listening until we could hear the entire release, which we can now do via the New York Times.

Stream: Quadron – Avalanche

Hats off to Tri Angle Records’ ethos: “Pop is religion. Overground is underground.” They’ve had some brilliant acts that coalesce with the both sides of the equilibrium – experimental music taking inspiration in Pop and vice-versa from Clammy Clams to AlunaGeorge. Another of theirs that’s had a grip on the headphones since last year’s stunning work With U, is Holy Other, returning last month with the teary eyed beauty of track ‘Love Some1’.

Having kept a cult fanbase engaged, the esoteric Other really delivers with this hyper-emotional second long player. It re-iterates his sound that takes a European sense of urbanity and melts it into one misty city. Aching, amplified layers of drone overpowering the spirit, as downtempo time signatures are thrown into turmoil making you want to, essentially, be ‘Held’. It’s 110% night bus. ‘Inpouring’, ‘U Now’ and ‘In Difference’ are corkers aswell. Get in the zone for 36 minutes and let it help you find your way out again #noseasonalaffectivedisorder. Out 27th of August.
