‘She Don’t Want A Man’ finds our protagonist describing an affair with a married woman who knows what she wants -err what she doesn’t want- over a rather somber beat. This clean version will have you wanting to hear the dirty version just to hear Curren$y tell the story without sounding held up.

Complete with that gun click noise from ‘Paper Planes’ that I adore and electronic bloops and blips far less grating here than in ‘Pon De Floor’, ‘ON !’ is the fruit of a collabo between producers Diplo and Douster. Give this instrumental a spin.

I was blown away by Jono supporting Jamie Woon last weekend and his music is both beautifully put together, emotion evoking and well layered. This project is 13 tracks long featuring Black Milk, Prince Po, MED, Rapper Big Pooh, Kazi,  LMNO, Kool G Rap and more.  The production is stellar featuring work from Black Milk, Oddisee, Dudley Perkins, Georgia Muldrow, and Flying Lotus.  Included in the download version is bonus material including an Oh No remix featuring Rapper Big Pooh & MED and an LDmix. This project was originally released in 2010 and represents some of MMG‘s earliest work having been the 2nd project Melloembarked on.  G&D are busy preparing another album which is due out in Fall on Dudley & Georgia’s label SomeOthaShip Connect…this is available FREE but only for a week so don’t snooze people. Benny Tones, Mara TK and fLako? I mean…

‘On My Way’ in it’s original state comes off Tones’ debut solo album Chrysalis, but this here remix will appear on a forthcoming remix album he’s planning on releasing this August. The first three songs taken off the new project (including this one) will be made available for free. Schweet.

Here is some brand new music from British Isles. UK vibe maker, Joleon Davenue who often taps into electro, soul, house and hip hop, among other boxes, just dropped this track over to me taken from his new mixtape The New Mantra.

Lifting the Machinedrum beat from ‘Let It Go’, Joleon uses the glitchy soundbed to emphasise his gravel toned voice, bounce off the wall melody and tongue in cheek lyrics. I’m feeling this. Listen below and download via the soundcloud.
