Anyone asked recently where all the prominent Latino rappers are at? And we’re not talking about a Pitbull and don’t tell us that shit subsided with a Daddy Yankee. So Beatnuts faded, Punisher passed, Noreaga became a sober vegan, Immortal Technique went awol and Joell Ortiz might float about, but latino-centric rap like it did in the 90s and early 2000s hasn’t really percolated in a minute. In light of this chasm, Spanish Harlem trill-torch carrier Bodega BAMZ seems to possess the right USP and he’s gaining attention fast. Weather he could be the face of a boricua renaissance or the first of many, remains to be seen, but all we can guarantee right now is that this ‘P.A.P.I’. joint goes hard as two day old turd. It isn’t even about the bars sometimes, it’s about the rambunctiousness (which as seen works a treat nowadays). Watch out for the A$AP Mob support acts in the vid aswell. BAMZ’ debut mixtape Strictly 4 My P.A.P.I.Z. drops September 11th.
