If there’s one reason to love the hometown ride-or-dies, it’s because they don’t take no sh*t. As a fan of rebellious British singer/songwriter Etta Bond and oft collaborating producer Raf Riley (notable on last year’s hella sexy ‘Come Over‘), their new jaunt ‘Boring Bitches’ is a welcome bit of spit in the face. Whilst I’m not big on the plodding, overused Dubstep pattern on the hook, Etta does kill it with a foul mouthed chick-from-the-ends polemic. In the vein of aggy feminist attitudes shown on past London’centric classics like Dizzee’s ‘I Luv U‘ or Winehouse’s ‘Fuck Me Pumps‘, she tears into wags and slags too prim to join the rapturous spirit of the dancefloor.

With an equally volatile visual directed by Reuben Dangoor (once responsible for the legendary hipster-bashing Being A Dickhead’s Cool viral), showing all sorts of deranged, electroclashy trashiness, there’s much cheeky fun to be had.
