
During a performance at PowerHouse this past weekend, Top Dawg Entertainment/Aftermath MC Kendrick Lamar revealed that his debut album Good Kid in a Mad City will be released October 2nd. The news comes a week after Q-Tip announced his involvement with the Black Hippy affiliated rapper. While most of the production will be taken care of “in-house”, the LP will boast some (as yet revealed) guest appearances - including the already-released single ‘The Recipe’ featuring label boss Dr. Dre.
Good Kid in a Mad City, which marks his first major label release will be in addition to the joint album Kendrick & J. Cole have already announced they plan on releasing some point this year. Loads to look forward to.
