According to an interview with James Blake collaborator Trim, ‘The Wilhelm Scream’ producer has been in America recently working with rapper Lil’ Wayne. After his brief (but unmissable) cameo in The Throne’s tour diary series, it’s been no secret that Hip Hop (stateside at least) has embraced Blake into it’s inner circle, seems like Weezy wants in aswell.
It’s hard to imagine what a Blake & Lil’ Wayne partnership would sound like – something like this esoteric Harmonimix ‘A Milli’ remix from 2010 perhaps? Regardless, if true I imagine whatever produced is going to be an exciting (or at the very least, an intriguing) collaboration.
Update: James Blake got in touch with FACT stating he is, for better or worse, not working with Lil’ Wayne.
