An art-rock foursome who have churned out a fair amount of EP’s and full lengths in the last few years have caught my ear with their latest offering. Street Joy - taken from their 2011 album D was a tender yet bluesy rock tale. A year later they have widen the genre bracket, keeping the tendersome feel, adding a raspier, breathe heavy vocal and some soulful bass licks.And that guitar solo….ouuuufff. Melts me.
Also check out the B-side to this, the Texan band try out something new and cover R Kelly’s ‘Don’t You Say No’. Not the best rendition, but definitely proving they’re a band to keep trying new things.
