MP3: DJ Q – Notice Me
Posted In Bass,Electronic,New Music by Shan
Whilst heads are still getting smashed off their tits on that ‘Brandy & Coke’ from back in Jan, Huddersfield producer and 1Xtra radio jockey DJ Q drops off a brand new yet firmly old school UK Garage heater for the raving populace. Falling between vintage 2-Step shuffles and a dollop of more recent Niche/Bassline squelchiness, the effeminate vocal emphasis and attention-to-detail engineering make it feel like Capital FM 1999 again. Whilst he’s not alone with the likes of Disclosure, 14th and a few others bringing nostalgic 90s dancefloor sounds back into the fold, Q hits the nail on the head in terms of retro 2stepping for ’12.
Shout out to the gunfinger generation – your time starr.
