My love for Nina Sky runs deep, their ’04 debut album was smash despite being generally overlooked. Their melodies were hard, their harmonies – even harder. Despite taking an extended hiatus, the girls are back with a new jam called ‘Day Dreaming’ and with it usher in a seemingly new direction. Less ‘Pop’ than their former offering, this bass heavy single flirts more with that alluring atmospheric R&B tone – not a bad thing because they carry it off pretty well. Lets not forget their collaboration with Creep last year – one of my favourite records of 2011.
‘Day Dreaming’ comes off Nina Sky’s forthcoming album Nicole & Natalie album – due out in July.
