LP: Emeli Sandé – ‘Our Version of Events’ (Sampler)

Might be one of the least satisfactory examples of an ‘album sampler’ I’ve heard recently. At only 20-25 secs of snippetry per track – completely irrelevant for an online gen that gets full previews streamed in abundance.
But anyway, despite gaining brief insight, we’re still of course admirers of the 2012 Brits Critics Choice winning songwriter/voice, and curious for the full length out Feb 13th.
So far sounding like a collection of big, sophisticated, studio power pop that has alot of crossover appeal to mature markets; the orchestral breakbeat edge and killer hooks of ‘Heaven’ and ‘Daddy’ worked nicely for us last year, fingers crossed there’s a few more moments like that.
