I have absolutely no time to wax lyrical about this here tape right now, but I guess there’s not much to say. The Weeknd is, undoubtely, at the forefront of R&B revisionism – ignore the hype mongers, the fad bloggers and trust us – there isn’t anyone out there doing this, this well (other than maybe, this lady).

I’m looking forward to tucking into this in a few hours, in the meantime – you get cracking.

Yes that is Brittany Bosco if you’re wondering. Two years after the release of Spectrum the Atlanta based soul chanteuse brings us the Pacer EP.

A new hairdo and a new sound comes with this freebie. Dogbite who is a part of the lo-fi chillwave group, Washed Out puts his touches over this concept collection. Bosco tells the story of a journey travelling from Atlanta to Cali in a 1978 Teal Pacer, exploring the matters of  ”fate through life, love, lust, and desire.”

More Bon Iver goodness this afternoon. New video just dropped for ‘Holocene’. Stunning landscape. Never knew Iceland was so picturesque plus impressive direction by Nabil Elderkin whose previous work includes Kanye West & Frank Ocean.

You may remember we shared a new Radiohead track with you a couple months back which was recorded in an exclusive Live From the Basement session.

Now here is the session in full, (and is only available for a limited time – so get watching quick!) which includes the band perform the 8 tracks from The King Of Limbs, as well as” Staircase” and “The Daily Mail.”  The  video is produced by Nigel Godrich and features Clive Deamer as well as additional musicians joining the band.

Collaborations are no longer as cringe worthy as the days of Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder or Eminem and Elton John. Awkward.

With Watch The Throne reigning high, I’m much more welcoming of duets. The latest one to get the music world in a spur is news of James Blake and Bon Iver. What we know so far is that the forthcoming alliance is to be revealed on August 24 and is titled ”Fall Creek Boys Choir” which is named after Bon Iver’s studio in Wisconsin.

Will be sure to keep you posted.

Wale has crossed the one million marker on Twitter and like everyone else these days, felt it best to show some love to the people by releasing a mixtape of 19 songs. Features include Lloyd and J. Holiday, as well as production from Hit-Boy and DJ Toomp.

The new album, Ambition is coming soon to.  Release date is in the mixtape title. Yep that’s right –  you guessed it 1st November. Eleven One Eleven.

Now let’s get into this mixtape…

I have just got round to listening to some fresh albums and this group’s name has been kicking around for a while on my radar, although I knew nothing and had no prior knowledge about the Canadian quarter.
With no expectations, not even a clue as to what genre they play, I went forth.

The four piece hailing from Toronto are a equal mix of producers and vocalists that produce what can only be described as futuristic electronic music, with moody house moments. Azari & III is probably best suited to play in nightclubs across Europe and beyond and at times can feel quite similar to other house based beats out there and ultimately nothing to write home about.

But I like to give music a chance to settle or at least grow on me. ‘Into the Night’ caught my attention with their danceable sonics. Although ‘Hungry for the Power’ has stood out the most so far. The dark, gritty underground feel balanced with lighter moments is at the very least single worthy and at most gives reason to attempt to listen to the album again.

No one can ever say this guy doesn’t put in the work. After the internet blow up of his mixtape releases, a debut album on the way and the generous Sunday giveaway these past few weeks, we now are treated to a world tour.

I don’t use the word ‘treat’ lightly either. After seeing him at his first solo UK show in the UK back in January, the charasmatic rapper convinced us all then why Cole World is about to take over. 3 months solid touring from August 23rd  to December 12th, I’m sure Cole will surely be able to spread his gospel to the masses.

Peep the dates over the jump, make sure you see him in a city near you soon.

Taken from the 2006 album Donuts, this absolute jam was picked as the winner of the Stones Throw video contest where filmakers/fans/music junkies and Stones Throw lovers were asked to submit a video for their favourite Stones Throw joint. I think it’s apt that a Dilla track had the triumphant video. Shouts to Tuomas Vauhkonen and Jeremias Nieminen for the winning piece. It is worth checking out the top 15 entries as picked by Peanut Butter Wolf, you can do so over here

Let’s be honest…The Weeknd has had my iPod on smash since House Of The Balloons dropped what seems like an age ago now. The Birds and it’s military drums satisfied my ears and I am eagerly awaiting this next instalment. This is the artwork for the second in the trilogy Thursday ( Third instalment being the Echoes of Silence). Today is Thursday….which means keep eyes peeled in the next 24hrs ya dig

Currently on a train to meet the rest of the PinBoard man deem (for a real exciting project no less)  and thought I would make the most of that wonderful Virgin wifi and share a likkle something with you this morning. From the Alpha Pup camp comes this haunting new Free The Robots banger which loves a tempo change and a little circa 95 sub bass in places. J’adore. Shouts to the good peoples over at Nutriot for this one

I’m a big fan of Aloe Blacc’s positive thinking, all encompassing loving soul, even more so since watching him live in action at Big Chill a couple weekends ago.

Here is the new single ‘Green Light’, I’m sure you will smile at least once after watching this.

Where ‘Answer’ exude moments of heart ache, ‘Believe’ evokes a slinky bewitching sexiness. The alluring electro synths beside the magnetic guitar riff,  with a dose of CANT’s spell bound vocals, pricks my ears up that tad bit more. Hopefully will hear more of the same when the new solo album Dreams Come True drops.
