From the upcoming longplayer Charity Starts At Home, ‘Not Here Anymore’ is produced by 9th Wonder!!! Classic 9th with some nice chopped vocals and good vibes. Press play and get your head nod on!! (Lets hope for even more Little Brother collabs in the coming future!) Download for free by heading over to the Foreign Exchange music page here
In association with Secret Sessions Jono McCleery performs ‘Fears’ from his upcoming longplayer There Is which is dropping on the 5th of September (which you can pre-order from Ninja Tunes here). This is definitely one of my favourite tracks off the album and i’m really happy to be seeing that he is getting his due on radio and in the press having recently been on Mary Anne Hobbs XFM show too. Massive biggups to a true gent with such an incredible voice. Remember you can still watch our extra special ‘Rehearsal Room’ session with Jono where he performed (my favourite track off the album) Tommorow exclusively for us. You are going to see this guys name popping off in the coming weeks! You heard it from us!

I have been eager to see what Rochelle Jordan has to offer since hearing this, now the young Canadian drops her free project.
Alongside her dedicated producer, Klash the two produce this 15 track mixtape, which I’m sure die hard R’n'B lovers will enjoy, as Rochelle often nods to the past golden era of the 90′s. Mixed with an eclectic mish mash of genres for something a bit fresh, Rochelle Jordan is definitely offering something brand new to the female songstress game.
North Carolinian songstress Carlitta Durand, hits the cold roads of her home state in her latest video, ‘Nostalgic Nights’ from the EP of the same name.
There is definitely a sense of emotion on this track and results in quality Durand material that wraps you up in a blanket of calming vocals. Something that the other tracks from her EP follow suit with.
New visual offering from Suzi Analogue. Taken from her most recent 12inch on Dopeness Galore, this one is made by Le Cercle Rouge and is completely built up and consisting of reflections from Amsterdam metro windows..her vocal has a haunting quality to it, glitchy goodness for your tuesday morning.
Here is the second drop from the upcoming Oddisee longplayer Rock Creek Park. This being the only vocal track on the otherwise completely instrumental album. Nice vibes yet again. Can’t wait to cop the album when it drops September 6th!!
Still Doing It (feat. yU) by OddiseeLiving in a city like London, honestly there are no barriers to what kind of music you can hear. Minding my business around the city, I heard this vintage, soulful house track and immediately enquired to find out more about the artist. Discovered the track was not by a Chicago based Peven Everett type, but in actual fact a South African House musician, that goes by the name of Zakes Bantwini.
I love the repetitive lyrics, the Fela style drum patterns and the bass that holds just enough groove for you to get your two step on.This one is on repeat.

Star Slinger just posted up this lickkle remix of Toro y Moi’s ‘New Beat’. The ever growing remixer said about the track “didn’t wanna make a typical soulbeat when I was asked to do this, so made a riddim instead”. Brap.
Not the best remix he has ever done, but I can’t be mad at those dancehall horns and choppy samples that is helping me get in the mood for carnival festivities this weekend.

Ms Badu always stands apart from the rest. We know this right.
Just in case you weren’t sure, MADE creates this magical moment with Erykah Badu in Berlin where three artists from three differing backgrounds of music meet together to create something special. Uniting their talents in equal measure to provide one special moment. Composer Miki and his beautiful string quartet in addition to Painter, Jaybo and Badu herself make me feel like this is the first time I’m hearing ‘On & On’. Check it up top.
Update: Watch part 2 of ‘MADE’ with Erykah Badu

There is alot of new music coming out next month, but this is one of my most anticipated LP’s of September.
This week’s Any Given Sunday revealed the album artwork for J Cole’s debut project I totally expected Cole to stick with the sports theme and keep it simple, more time for the content I guess.
Cole World: The Sideline Story is released September 27th.

Internet restrictions suck.
Can’t listen to this brand new freebie at the moment but if you can, I would advise that you download now. Courtesy of the Eglo Records team and the relaunch of their brand new site, they are giving away this track for free. When I eventually get out of work, I will be downloading this and awaiting that forthcoming EP which is due to drop soon.
Drawing from her Japanese background, Jhené Aiko presents this anime enthused video for her first single from her second project soul(ed) which is due next month.
This Kevin Roosevelt produced track is subtly delicate in places, yet catchy enough to keep your attention. Plus the clips from Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop and extra graphics by Chris Le keep you entertained too.

Redefinition Records are offering the first 1000 downloads, Damu’s “Killin’ Time Rhyme” for free. Taken from the Supply For Demand LP. Listen and download below.

Always on the scout for new artists from our great British Isles, I conquered the damp rainy mid week weather that clouded the city, to head on down to a modest corner of East London to watch Brownswood new signing, Zara McFarlance.
The intimate crowd were lucky enough to get a taster of her new album, Until Tomorrow which is out October 10th. Standout track was definitely ‘Blossom Tree’ which is a perfect positioning between the bluesy jazz of a Dianne Reeves and the best of neo soul’s eclectic nature a la Jill Scott. Until the album is released, you can grab a copy of this jazzy upbeat number ‘Mama Done’ from Zara McFarlane’s Facebook Page. Get to liking and listen below.
