Now….this is what is needed to bring the sunshine out this morning. Dope mix from the master on the 1′s and 2′s Jazzy Jeff. Featuring a stellar line up on this one with the likes of Smif N Wessun, Fresh Prince, Q-Tip, R. Kelly, De La Soul, Gap Band, Pharcyde, Common and Jagged Edge this one has something for everyone! You can stream it and download it here over on Mick Boogie’s site here. Vibes.
After posting a teaser a little while ago, the full version now gets it’s airing. With a ‘ard bodied beat by No I.D this has actually got me looking forward to Common Sense’s 9th Studio album The Dreamer, The Believer, which is due out in November on Warner Brothers. Download for gratis over at the soundcloud.
Really happy to be sharing this with the interweb. Soundspecies is the alias of brothers Henry and Oliver Keen, London-based producers, musicians and DJs who have grown up making music together. This new live project is led by Oliver Keen, inspired by his travel to West Africa. Joined by his other brothers Barnaby and Nathaniel (who played on our Andreya Triana Rehearsal Rooms session!)with honorary brother Dave De Rose, they created unique live upbeat music with strong influence of West African rhythms and grooves. This is a track taken from their new EP the Bamana Project. Massive shout to my homie Henry on Moog duty on the track. You can catch Soundspecies at United Vibrations next week! Make sure you cop the whole EP here!
Two new(ish) tracks ready for those dances, club nights, DJ mixes et al. Thank James Blakes old home, indie bass label, Hemlock for these two gritty numbers. Both to be released digitally and on wax, July 11th.
