… I might need to give it a couple more spins, it’s not bad – I like it – just not sure it’s a solid first single?

I think for the spot he claims it's way not strong enough. There's nothing about this track that feels like he has developed. He certainly brought a fresh breeze when he came into the game, but if he wants to stay relevant he can't keep repeating himself like that. this sounds like a track that didn't make it onto his last album. same sound, same tone, same kind of melody and same bullshit lines.
Makes me wonder if his success was due to his talent or due to the circumstances…but I like to think he got more potential but hasn't to try harder because the listeners will celebrate it just out of routine, just because it's a new drake.
it's not bad but it's not good either…
