Next monday you will see me running to Rough Trade to pick up SBTRKT’s longplayer on a quick flex post work. No long ting fam. Having been rinsing our promo copy in PinBoard towers for a little while now I can’t wait to get my hands on the physical. It is a masterpiece and for me one of the standout tracks comes courtesy of SBTRKT featuring my favourite voice of 2011 thus far….Sampha (Let us not forget how much of beast he is on the boards too…). Having previously shared with you the live session at Abbey Road from the ‘debut’ series we can thank SBTRKT for letting us loose on the live recording of ‘Hold On’ from the same session.
