A couple of sharp, interesting viral spots courtesy of Hot 97 chewing fat with a few legends that have arguably ruled the last decade. I like the way these are put together.
The coolest man in the world made a surprise appearance on the View yesterday, peep the ladies reaction to his Purple-ness up top. The legend was on to discuss his upcoming Madison Sq Garden in New York City (I would literally sell a member of my family to attend).
Sheri Shepherd gives me the biggest jokes too. Lol.
The homie Sam Champ just sent me over his latest remix off his forthcoming EP which drops later this month. Having already taken on Erykah Badu & D’Angelo, this time he’s working his magic on Ameriie’s ‘Fall in Love’.
Damn. I can’t wait to get my hands on this EP. So far all his remixes have been on point, this is no exception. In fact, this may be one of my favourites. Not a fan of this song (or Ameriie for that matter) but Champ’s Dilla-inspired production has given this a whole new lease of life. Biggup.

Damn, the Diddy-Dirty Money ‘train’ is well and truly moving huh? Here’s another new video from Diddy’s latest gimmick group. I can’t even deny this one. Production is nice, Diddy doesn’t even sound that bad. Yea, I said it. Visuals are crisp too. Shiet.
Melo just dropped his brand new EP into my inbox, I’m always mad excited about new music from this dude, tonight is no exception. A dope producer, a real emcee, great vision – he gots it. So without further delay, lets download this and enjoy this FreEP. Brap.
A three-song Flying Lotus live session was aired on Gilles Peterson’s BBC Radio 1 show today, as pointed out by Some Kind of Awesome. Backed by a startlingly talented crew, including bassist Stephen “Thundercat” Bruner and saxophonist Ravi Coltrane, the crew played Cosmogramma‘s “MmmHmm”, “Tea Leaf Dancers” from 2007′s Reset EP, and a gorgeous new track called “Golden Axe” that they came up with during rehearsals, according to an accompanying interview with FlyLo. This ish is dope. Cosmogramma hasn’t hit home with me as much as LA did to be fair but he is still such an inspirational figure in music for me. Enjoy people. Shouts to Pitchfork and Some Kind of Awesome for the post up.
This dropped over at Bama yesterday and being busier than a mothertrucker only just got round to checking it out. Shade Cobain calls this instrumental project, “An ode to one of my favorite drummers Roy Porter and his groovy album Roy Porter’s Sound Machine: Inner Feeling. This is dopeness….enjoy and download for FREE over at the bandcamp here.
Apart from having the best name in electronic music the “Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs’ know how to make a serious slice of brap pie music. The video…make your own mind up…sullen looks, funny hats and lots of colours. I digs it.
New visuals from the homie Reggie B, you’ll know of this guy because we’re always singing his praises. He recently released his album The Traveler, which I highly recommend you seek out and of course contributed a killer track for our Feed Your Ears EP which you can still cop (for FREE) here.
This looks like it’s turning out to be a good lineup for Saturday 22nd January 2011. On/off favourite of mine, Gilles Peterson will be holding the Worldwide Awards at Koko come the new year. Will keep you posted next month with the final acts and DJ’s, but check the flyer..Looks like a good’un!
100% sure this isn’t anything compared to how the final video will look, but from what I’m seeing – conceptually and visually this looks incredible! No lie, but this is exactly how I pictured the video being – near-corpse like females, suits, luxurious decorations/props – yea man. Oh and, that shot of Nicki Minaj? #ThankYouYeezy.
