Newness from RZA, I know you’re not mad. I definitely am not. Perfect timing too, I’m having a very, very Hip Hop influenced day (KanYe West, Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, Common, Mos Def, Raekwon etc have all been played)…
“THIS IS A SONG TALKING ABOUT HOW PEOPLE TRY TO TELL WHAT TO DO AND WHAT TO BE… THE SONG CAN RELATE TO A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MAN AND WOMAN OR CITIZENS AND AUTHORITY…OR JUST ANY CONFRONTATION SUCH AS A BOUNCER AT A CLUB WITH THE GUEST LIST… PEACE, RZA

Estelle and John Legend have just put out a free mini-compilation of their duets appropriately titled The Duets. The good folks over at SB.TV got the exclusive, but Angel and his team were kind enough to send me the .mp3 of this to make available as a stream right here for you guys.
Angel an up and coming singer/songwriter from London, who recently signed to Island Records/Universal Music took a break from recording his debut album to cover Jessie J’s new single ‘Do It Like a Dude’. Of course, he goes in on his own version, bending the lyrics to suit him and all us guys.
The main thing about this song I like – Angel’s vocals. This guy can sing. I was recently in the studio with him (more on that a little later) and I heard him up close and personal – vocally, this guy is blessed. Keep your eyes and ears on him but for now, press play on this…
KanYe West performed My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in it’s entirety last night in New York City at the intimate Bowery Ballroom venue. He brought out a whole host of surprise guests including Pusha T, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and more.
Must have been an incredible night. Peep more after the jump…
Adele’s new album 21 is on it’s way, ‘Rolling in the Deep’ is the first single off it. It’s brilliant. Combine this with ‘Someone Like You’ and suddenly this is the album I need in my life over anyone else’s. Word.
Oh my giddy giddy gosh…..how did I miss this earlier?!!! Serious jazzy fiyahhh from Stalley….’Hercules is the first single introducing the sound of Stalley’s forthcoming LP Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Music). Produced by Rashad Thomas of Columbus, Ohio’s the 3rd, ITM finds Stalley returning to his Ohio roots – American muscle cars and hard 808 kicks. Stalley, who was born and raised in the working class city of Massillon, says of the project, “This is Midwest music, with a New York mentality.”……..YUP!! I’m hyped about this documentary/DVD. Stan-issues aside, I’m looking forward to seeing the ‘real’ Beyonce. Even as a fan, her robotic steeze in front of the camera can’t be denied and can be, at times, a little boring. It’s great to see her evolving and letting ‘us’ in a little bit more.
Never saw this one coming. Did you? Chipmunk teams up with Chris Brown on this new track called ‘Champion’, which presumably will feature on his new album. While this isn’t my type of thing per-say, I don’t think it’s that bad. Both guys bring something to the table here – I can imagine the yoots being all over this. Good look for Chipmunk still. #nostream
Yeezy & Hova over a Q-Tip produced beat? If this is what we can expect from Watch the Throne then we’re in for a very, very special treat. This is f*ckng hard.
New leak off T.I’s new album No Mercy which drops December 7th featuring KanYe West & KiD CuDi. This is definitely the best thing I’ve heard come from T.I in a minute. He goes in, KanYe does too. CuDi hooks is pretty cool too.
Hot off the heels of our exclusive ‘Rehearsal Rooms’ session, Jamie Woon releases his debut video for ‘Night Air’.
It’s without hesitation that I say that this is one of the best written songs of the year. Word for word, listen to what this man is saying. 2011 belongs to Jamie Woon.
Freeness from Mr. Lowe is never ever a bad thing. ‘Middle of the night… hungry… head down to the studio…. knock up a lil vibe with no other intention but some nourishment’ …..I really dig the keys on this one. Real good vibes. Download using the arrow on the player fam. Get me.
I bloody love this. RJD2-produced cut off the upcoming Year Of The Blacksmith Community mixtape, presented by Talib Kweli and Blacksmith Music. RJD2 went in ‘AAAAARD. I have always dug Jean Greazzzy’s flow and I am really looking forward to upcoming project ‘Cake Or Death’. Download using the arrow on the player.
If anything Swizz gets credit for the artwork here. Grace Jones & Kieth Haring each and every.
Anyways, back to the topic at hand, Mr Beatz drops the latest instalment of his Monster Monday’s with this number featuring Busta Rhymes. Listen / download below if you so please…
