Here goes another unreleased Michael Jackson song taken off the late singers posthumous upcoming album Michael. Not sure if Kanye West has anything to do with this (production or otherwise) but one of the only lines he has in the ‘Runaway’ movie is what opens this ballad.

The ‘new’ album is out December 14th.

In the build up to the February 2011 release of Cubic Zirconia’s debut LP “Follow Your Heart” on LuckyMe, the label have – in collaboration with Fact Mag – released this free zip in a classic case of it says what it does on the tin; remixes for and by Cubic Zirconia. Featuring this year’s smash hit, Ikonika’s infectious bleeped out mix of “Hoes Come Out At Night” which has been on repeat all year still, and including Waajeed’s equally as good slap dat bass “Josephine” remix. All in all seven gems from the illest bass queen Tiombe Lockhart (her p*ssy game is mean) & crew. Artwork & tracklist after the jump. Hit that download!

The lovely and talented Iman Williams sent me her new album today called Stupid Human Tricks. Produced entirely by BusCrates 16-Bit Ensemble and recorded over the course of a year, the album “is about emotions” which is what inspired the projects title – “that title in some crazy way, evokes emotion when I hear it”.

Williams confessed that the album is currently at it’s most rawest form but explains “I like to keep it truthful when telling a story” -  a gamble, but one which definitely pays off. I’m just listening to this now, as I type, and I love what I’m hearing. Iman’s voice packs soul and conviction and here, she openly speaks about those pesky ‘stupid human tricks’ we all know so well – but very rarely openly express.

Listen to the album in full via the bandcamp player below and if you like what you hear – support and buy it.

“I’m sorry Raheem, imma let you finish, but Mar had the best cover of ‘I’m Single’ of all time”

Haha I kid, I kid. Raheem covers Weezy’s ‘I’m Single’ which is taken off mixtape Jacking 4 Beats which we dropped.

Can’t lie though, this doesn’t touch Mar’s version. It’s good, but homie killed it with his variation.

This track was sent to me a couple weeks ago but got buried under a disturbing amount of emails. Hate it when that happens. But through a series of cool incidents, it was brought to my attention once again and decided to quickly post it up this morning before the week fries my brain once more.

‘Modern Day Romance’ is the debut single from London’s very own, Jagga. Packed with a unique sounding voice and great ear for baselines and aerial sounds, this guy is bringing something rather nice to the table. Having already written for Magnectic Man, worked with Zinc and Starsmith and toured with Rusko – you best believe you’ll be hearing more about him from now.

‘Modern Day Romance’ is best served through dangerously good speakers/headphones. That pounding baseline and those claps twisted behind Jagga’s anomalous vocal delivery need be appreciated like any true audiophile. This is some next beathead-indie-rock hybrid. I like really quite it. There’s also a nice Photek remix of ‘Modern Day Romance’ on Jagga’s soundcloud player, peep that here.

The single comes with a b-side called ‘Keep on the Light’ – this tune is massive. Dub beats, reggae influences – Jagga’s vocals sound real, real nice here. His laid back melody zones you out (*ahem*), the base, the hi-hats – I may just prefer this to ‘Modern Day Romance’, I haven’t fully decided yet.

Keep your ears locked on Jagga. Connect with him on twitter. Tell him we sent you.

And…Breathe.

According to the urbanmusicscene.com Prince has “confirmed” his 2011 UK tour plans and will reveal all after his X-Factor final performance (?). This is the first time I’m hearing any of this, how true it is – I don’t know (note the question mark in the title and the reference). But we can live in hope, right?

He’ll be touring America with his “Welcome 2 America” tour, so other international dates isn’t really a far stretch. Live. In. Hope.

Saw Prince no less than 3 times when he came to London for his “21 Nights” tour. Best believe I’ll be there the next time he’s in town too – whenever that may be.

John Legend & The Roots perform the 1969 classic ‘Compared to What’, which is lifted off their collaborative album Wake Up! which is out right now. Love watching these guys perform together – they bring the best out of each other. Musically – no one can touch The Roots, and John Legend hasn’t sounded better.

Happy to present this as a UK exclusive.

I can speak on behalf of the whole PinBoard team when I say we LOVE this woman. I personally have been anticipating the return for a hot minute. The return of her realness, her music, and most of all her voice.

This is gonna be her 1st UK show in..in..like forever. She will be performing tracks from the debut LP Late Nights & Early Mornings and hopefully some Floetry classics – I can only hope. Support on the night comes from two unsigned talents Obenewa and Nadine Charles.

Monday 27th December,  Dingwalls. Christmas doesn’t stop on the 25th. Book your advance £19.50 tickets here.
