Two bad ass b*tches like Keyshia Cole & Nicki Minaj on one track and this is what they come up with? Really? As per all her guest appearances, Minaj’s verse is the best thing about this song. I’m very disappointed. I got nuff’ love for Keyshia Cole, but this isn’t hot enough. Any amateur song/lyrics.
Oh, the irony. A fitting title for both artists involved, huh? T.I may be going back to the big house, but that doesn’t mean he needs to stop putting out music (see: Lil’ Wayne) – this new jaunt features Breezy…
In need of some real good Hip hop? Yea, me too. Let get into this, a brand new track from David Banner & 9th Wonder, which will not be appearing on their forthcoming project Death of a Pop Star. Ergh, 9th’s production is f*cking killer, his use of samples kills it everytime. Course David Banner takes care of his business too.
A federal judge has sentenced the ATL rapper, real name Clifford Harris, to 11 months in jail on probation violation charges. T.I was sentenced today but is planning on appealing the decision.
T.I was still on probation for federal weapons charges when he was arrested, along with his wife Tiny, on September 1st on drug charges in L.A. The police found marijuana in the couples car, Tip’s probation officer then filed documents claiming that he had violated 3 key items during the arrest.
T.I will remain on bond until he appeals his sentence.
This remix makes me like this song. That’s saying a lot. I’m not the biggest M.I.A fan, but when jMEEZYs hit me up on twitter to check out this remix he posted up on his blog, I gave it a go. The Tay remix is pretty big – the beat reminds me of Missy Elliott’s ‘She’s a Bitch’ – never a bad look. Have a listen and download below. That dope artwork is by McFresh of ThatsHellaBomb and IndieIntro.
Rihanna & Drizzy team up for a new track off Rhi-Rhi’s new album Loud. My question on this girl remains: Who is she? I just can’t figure out what type of artist she’s trying to be. This is better than the other stuff I’ve heard, it’s still not great tho.
I’m pretty confident this album is going to suck, hard (I still love her). But if it is – you might as well have one sick looking album cover and that’s exactly what Ms Minaj has. Dope, dope, dope. Pink Friday drops November 23rd. My fingers are crossed.
DELS comes with the second single from his forthcoming debut album. Kieren Dickins aka DELS collaborating once again with Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard on a tune which throws all the rules about the correct structuring of a classic pop song out of the window, drags them back in through the backdoor and makes of them one of the most beautiful, funny and compelling rap records you’ve heard in a good old while! Massive shout out to my sisters from another mister Sam and Sarah who are in the vid! Massively proud of my homeboy DELS.
Quick! Press download (via the bandcamp) player right now as the first 1000 people to do so gets this incredible new EP from Olivier DaySoul completely free! I recommend you hurry!
I was sent this EP last week, I can’t praise it enough. Oddisee has done such a great job in producing a really great selection of soul songs. Olivier’s voice is just too much for me even to explain.
I didn’t know whether to post this or not, I don’t like posting about events outside of the UK, simply because we rep these shores hard. But, this is Prince and you guys know how I feel about the Purple Yoda.
Prince has officially announced a brand new tour, his first American tour since 2004 – which will see support from the likes of Janelle Monae, Maceo Parker, Cassandra Wilson, Shielf E, Mint Condition, Lalah Hathaway, Esperanza Spalding and more. The first ‘Welcome 2 America’ show will be on “Purple Day in December in year 2010″. Prince will also play a multi-night stint in New York City.
Erm, this is mad! Prince & that line up? A great example of a legend still having his ear on the pulse. Must be an incredible feeling to be invited on such a tour.
Oooh, get your R&B on with this new jam right here. Two giants in the game (eh, from yesteryear at least) come together for a new track called ‘Lay With U’, off El DeBarge’s forthcoming album Second Chance. Both DeBarge & Faith sound great on this one – it’s not going to blow your socks off, but if you like your R&B ol’ skool – this should do it. The beat isn’t ol’ skool, but the ethos and melody of it is – that beat reminds me of that Truth Hurts song – is that just me?
