Giving you that Monday FUNK! I personally can’t get enough of it at the moment and those G’s over at Stones Throw and putting it out there thick and fast. Here is a treat produced by PinBoard favourite Dam-Funk. Stones Throw has announced an upcoming album from former Slave frontman and funk music OG Steve Arrington to be entirely produced by Dam-Funk. “I Be Trippin” is the first taste of their collaboration. It’s got that west coast vibe……I dig’s it!
Here is the debut video offering from Big Dada recording artist Bang On!. A born MC, Elliott Egerton’s furious delivery combined with raw, bass-hefty production that could make a bleeding edge dubstepper weep, he’s set to be a force to be reckoned with in the coming year. Thoughts please!
Quadron who’s new self-titled album I have been straight rinsing, got me through a lot of my 9 hour flight to the States and my 10 hour bus ride from L.A to San Francisco. So chilled, it’s beauitful.
Anyways – this is pretty amazing. The band cover Michael Jackson’s classic ‘Baby Be Mine’ (actually one of my favourite MJ tracks of all time) and do so in their own unique way. If you’re going to cover Michael Jackson, or any classic for that matter, you need to come with something original, this is why this works so great. The video too is brilliantly shot.
Also, as an added treat we also have the audio from their show in Brooklyn where they performed songs off their new album. What more do you need? Watch the video up top and download the audio below.
I have no faith in this, but hopefully it’s like her first Christmas album. Info from over MC’s official website below…
In addition to traditional yuletide fare – “The First Noel,” “Little Drummer Boy,” “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” “O Come All Ye Faithful” and more – MERRY CHRISTMAS II YOU also contains four original songs composed by Mariah, including the new single, “Oh Santa,” and many more surprises for the fans. Producers on the new album include American Idol’s Randy Jackson, multi-platinum hit-making producer Jermaine Dupri, James Poyser (acclaimed producer for Aretha Franklin, The Roots, Lauryn Hill and more), and five-time Oscar nominee and Grammy/Tony/Emmy award winning composer Marc Shaiman.
Up and coming singer Bruno Mars’ has been arrested for suspicion of narcotics possession early Sunday morning in Las Vegas. He was taken into custody around 2.40am after security officials at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino found narcotics the bathroom (allegedly). This was all after he performed at ‘Wasted Space’ (lol) for a taped performance for the Walmart Soundcheck Risers concert series. [Source]
It’s not clear as to what drugs were found. Bet it’s weed. We’ll see.
