NEWS: Mark Ronson Working On D’Angelo’s New Album

Producer Mark Ronson (who recently worked with the the legendary Soul singer on a track for his own album Record Collection) has confirmed to Billboard he is “going into the studio [with D'Angelo]…to work a bit on his record, and I have equal parts intimidation and awe and excitement”.
I just got one thing to say to Ronson: DON’T F*CK IT UP BRUV!
The idea of a new D’Angelo record does stupid things to me (#nohomo), it’s been way too long. The way Brown Sugar and Voodoo remain in constant loop in my life – it’s mad. But definitely time for a new album. How it’ll turn out, I do not know. He’s going to have a big job on his hands but if anyone can produce something magical, it’s the mighty D’Angelo.

lord have mercy. this has been going on for too long. i remember hearing earlier this year he was working with prince. what happened to the autumn 2000 release? then the summer 2010 release? d'angelo in my eyes has been the don, the yoda of neo soul music and lets face it, he hasnt released anything for so long, been toying with our emotions. im soooo soo skeptical now.
i know mark ronson however is an amazing producer, im just not sure whether the sound im used to hearing with d'angelo is gonna work well…? i do believe if james river does get released its gonna sound galaxies away from voodoo and brown sugar, i just really really hope it wont be a dissapointment. i've been waiting for this album since i was ten.
