Monica left us with a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of her video for ‘Love All Over Me’, she then asked her fans to vote which way they wanted to story to go (great idea!). The winning ending got over 73% of the votes – watch part 2 of the video up top to see who she ends up walking down the aisle with…

Nas speaks to Tim Westwood about the ‘old days’, his divorce, his collaboration with Damian Marley, KanYe West wanting to produce his new album and how his forthcoming solo project is one of the most important albums he’s ever done. Oh, he also talks about his divorce too. Lol.

…Am I alone in thinking Ye’ working on Nas’ album would be dope? That’s definitely a good look.

California based, European loved clothing brand WeSC opened their 2nd shop in London this summer. To celebrate, they had a midsummer nights launch party in the trendy Covent Garden store, hosted and headlined by hiphop-soulful-dance artist, Joleon Davenue.

Walking through Neal Street at 7.30pm there was clearly a buzz erupting outside the colourful shop. People were drinking and chatting away like it was already the weekend waiting for the night to kick off. Press, photographers and bloggers were in their masses as well.

As the doors opened at 8pm,as many that could fit in the narrow concept store as possible, flooded in.

The night kicked off with the bubbly Shanaz, singing about a typical girls feelings for her crush at 17, among others. Shanaz ended her set with her exclusive sing along track “Pencil me in”. The song seemed apt to most peoples busy life and were whole heartedly singing in synch with her.

In the breaks people stepped outside for more summer air with plenty of free drink in hand or delved downstairs to view the rest of the shop.

To end the night, everyone or as many as physically could, packed themselves back in the store to get some of that “Mood Music” that Joleon does so well. He got the crowd dancing straight away with the Jamquioruai influenced “Love Rain.” Closing with a group of mini vuvuzelas screeching in time with his funk-dance track “Money”, the vibes were on point.

With 5 minutes to closing time, the last of the drink was drunk and the crowd, the band and Joleon jammed celebrating the successful merger of music and fashion. Let’s hope there’s many more of these parties to come.

Ty drops another video off his superb new album Special Kind of Fool (out NOW!). I will have to wait til’ I reach my computer to check it out but I dig this song a lot, so am in no doubt that I’ll like the video too. Seriously speaking though – if you love Hip Hop, you really need to purchase Special Kind of Fool – essential listening.

Never (EVER) seen or heard of this video before?! It’s from way back in 2002 too? My goodness. I was just minding my own business on twitter and saw the homie SoulSupreme tweet this. Prince covering Erykah Badu? Wait. Prince covering Erykah Badu? Too much. The mind well and truly boggles. Can’t really say anything else really – just watch the video.

Christina’s stunning new video for ‘You Lost Me’ hit the nets today – peep it up top. Of course this song comes off her rather lackluster album Bionic – while the album itself is pretty poor (in quality and originality) there are a couple stand out tracks on there – this being one of them. Her vocals are simply beautiful.

I attended Nas & Damian Marley’s gig in London on Wednesday and I must say – it was incredible. Easily one of the best gigs I’ve been to this year – seeing these two guys on stage together was nothing short of inspirational. They really do bring out the best in each other – and the set was immense. Nas did a solid set of his biggest hits (‘Represent, Represent’, ‘Made You Look’, ‘If I Ruled the World’, ‘Hate Me Now’ etc), as did Damian Marley (when he did ‘Welcome to Jamrock’ the place erupted like crazy) who also did a mini-medley of his fathers hits including ‘Exodus’. And of course, the material off their new album Distant Relatives.

The footage up top is a little montage of the entire evening including a guest appearance from Jay Electronica.

Truly powerful stuff.

Mikeal Colombu is killing it with all this incredible footage of Bilal (and everyone else!) at the moment. Wow. Here’s yet another beautifully shot and produced piece of Mr Oliver performing ‘All For Love’ – oh, how I love this song!

I’m not even going to apologise for all the Bilal coverage PinBoard has been throwing up – we’ve waited 9 YEARS for this! September 14th can’t come any sooner!

According to TMZ rapper Foxy Brown has been arrested for allegedly violating a protective order placed by her neighbour. Brown was apparently rehearsing outside for her upcoming show at B.B Kings Club in New York City which upset the neighbour – who then subsequently came outside and began screaming at her – Foxy went inside to avoid further confrontation – this is when the police arrived.

However, according to the official complaint (obtained by TMZ) the neighbor claims “it all started when Foxy walked up to the neighbor’s home and began yelling, among other things, “you dirty bitch…what you looking at?” and then allegedly “bent over and thrust [her] buttocks at the [neighbor] while shouting “kiss my ass”.

Brown’s manager has said that her client was waking to her car when the neighbour started yelling. She’s now facing 6 criminal charges over the incident including public lewdness, criminal contempt, manacling and harassment.

Hopefully this all gets resolved. Need Foxy to come back proper.

Whoa. Seems like a lot of Lupe fans are getting fed up with Atlantic’s stupidness and are now demanding a release date. So farĀ  around 1,700 have signed the ‘The Release Of The Lasers Album’ petition created by The LupE.N.D in a bid to get Atlantic Records to wake the fu*k up. I mean really? What is this. We’ve waited long enough – set a bloody date. In the mean time – sign the petition – lets get some people power rolling.

Really nice remix of Quadron’s ‘Slippin’ by Tru Thoughts & Natural Self. The original version of this which features on Quadron’s recently released self-titled album is dope as it is, but this remix gives it little something extra. Love this.

First Wiley, now Rusko? Yea, you won’t find me complaining. Rusko, who’s album OMG is out now (geddit!), just liberated some ‘Lost Dubs’ circa ’04-’05. If you’re a fan of grimey basslines, dirty drum patterns and general dub-step dopeness – you’ll dig this. Download and enjoy this goodness – hope more follows!

While Bilal was in London for his Deviation gig, he stopped by Gilles Peterson’s place for an insightful and in-depth interview. In it he discusses his new album, the leak of Love For Sale, the fans who have stood by him over the years and his collaborations. Gilles also gets the exclusive scoop on a number of new tracks featuring on Airtight’s Revenge which he plays througout the interview. Sh*t is sounding OVERLY fresh!
