Please note: we had some technical issues w/ sound, it gets better a few seconds in.

Live music and long summer evenings have always gone hand in hand, which is why today, PinBoard is excited to announce an exclusive new feature, in partnership with Music is Remedy; “PinBoard Presents: Remedy Rehearsal Rooms” which will be available right here on PinBoard.

Something magical happens when you put a band like the Remedies and a group of talented artists into a small rehearsal space and watch them play. An experience that we felt needed to be shared with you, people who love live music as much as we do. So, PinBoard has joined forces with Music is Remedy, to capture the rehearsals for ‘Remedy Live’ – an event focused solely on talent and live music.

As always, Music is Remedy has got the music side covered and PinBoard has the visuals on lock – so today, we launch our first collaborative effort.

Featuring London born Soul and Funk singer Kaana Ellie, we pressed record and watched the soul fly as she and the Remedies did their thing. From this rehearsal clip alone, you can see what this talented lady has to offer. Packing powerhouse vocals and endless energy, she tears the roof right off. Share the experience; press play and let the soul soak in.

Stay tuned for our release of “PinBoard Presents: Remedy Rehearsal Rooms with Ed Sheeran” which will be available on PinBoard  from tomorrow.

This is an on-going collaboration, so expect many “PinBoard Presents: Remedy Rehearsal Rooms”, featuring all kinds of great artists, in the coming weeks and months.

‘Remedy Live’ takes place tomorrow, Thursday 17th June 2010, at Rhythm Factory (16-18  Whitechapel Road, E1 1EW) and features Ed Sheeran, Kaana Ellie, XO Man, Dean Atta, Sharika Medla & Wilson Attie. More Info go to musicisremedy.co.uk

Quite the heads up, but Run Music just shot me a press release announcing that DOOM with will embarking on his first UK tour aptly entitled ‘DOOMSDAY’. The tour will see the masked one hit key cities in the UK including London, Manchester and Bristol. You can see the full dates and venues after the jump. Tickets are priced at £25.00 and are available to purchase this Friday (18th June) from seetickets.com.

After seeing DOOM at the Round House earlier this year, I am a bit relunctant to see him again. The show wasn’t great. But I will blame most of that on the sound, which was actually the worse I’ve ever heard it be at any gig. I’ll check him out in October – I’m sure he’ll redeem himself.

Nneka just dropped a ‘little self mad video’ to accompany her song ‘Viva Africa’ from Listen Up! The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Album. Love this song.

Alicia Keys and producer Salaam Remi talk about working on the ‘Sex and the City 2′ soundtrack and recording a reworking of Blondie’s ‘Rapture’ which features in the movie and the OST. Nothing but love for Keys and Remi, but I hate this version. It just doesn’t work. Sorry!

Album flop or not, no one can touch this woman’s vocals. Over singing is her forte, and there’s A LOT of that here, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that she can do it. Her album is number 1 over here (UK) and number 3 in the U.S – it didn’t sell huge amounts, but charted. To be fair, it’s not a great album so the fact that it got that type of position is a good thing (imo). Hopefully the next LP will be better.

T.I covers the July/August issue of ‘XXL’ and talks about his stint in prison and the ‘secret snitch rumours’ – check the short except below:

Most muthafuckas catch cases and get time. My nigga, you wasn’t doing shit when you was out here, so wasn’t no reason for them to keep you out here.

Please understand the G code that I learned from, if you speak out your mouth that a muthafucka is telling on somebody and you can’t come with indisputable, irrefutable facts to support that statement, that makes you the sucker. You are now in violation of the G code. And there ain’t nobody, nowhere in naan jail sayin’ I was on they paperwork.

Been mad busy today, so apologies for the lack of posts (I say lack, I still blogged more than your average blogger, but still – not the point lol). But before I turn in, I thought I’d quickly post Drake’s ‘Walmart Souncheck’ performance and interview up. He performs ‘Over’, ‘Best I Ever Had’, ‘Successful’ and more. After the jump you can peep his interview.

Drizzy’s album dropped worldwide this week, I don’t get too hyped about sales but there seems to be a ginueine buzz around the new release. Lets hope the masses support Hip Hop and purchase it. I’m loving the album.

I’m just about to press play on this myself, so can’t comment on what gets said, but if this is anything like the DMX episode, it should be a real eye opener.

Nothing but love for Cee-Lo Green, I’m a huuuuuge fan. But I don’t like this song at all. Sorry. But for those who do, especially you “Twlight” fans (it’s off the new movie soundtrack) – check his performance of ‘What Part of Forever’ live on the Jay Leno Show.

I love this city!!!

On July 1st, Yahzarah and Terri Walker will be performing at Vibe Bar in Brick Lane for Aesthetic Sounds 5th birthday. This will be a night not to be missed, trust me. Backed by a full band, and with support acts in the shape of Sarah Fonteyne and Art of Fresh (Slekah the Beatchild), London will be filled with soulful sounds and good vibrations. I’m so excited! Tickets are priced at £7 / £10 after 9pm and can be purchased from aestheticksounds.com

Keep it locked right here on PinBoard, because we’re going to be offering two lucky winners a chance to win some tickets to this great show!

…But as I said in the last post, it’s so messed up that we have this AND Janelle Monae performing on the very same night – what are we gonna do?
