Biggup Danielson for (exclusively) dropping the CDQ version of this massssssssive Dizzee track. Been listening to the radio rip of this since we posted it way back when, and so been waiting for this to hit the nets. Now playing this dangerously loud – I highly recommend you do the same. Without doubt, one of the best Dizzee tracks to drop for a good few years.

I’ve been pretty amazed by the response across the interwebs over our Kelly Rowland interview, many (like Kelly herself) have said that it’s their favourite Rowland interview to date – that’s pretty amazing! We had a great time conducting and filming it, so glad you guys enjoyed it too!!

I posted up a very short snippet of this this track, taken from Ne-Yo’s forthcoming ‘concept’ album Libra Scale. I wrote that it sounded a little bit rubbish – well, on listening to the full track my first judgements weren’t that premeture. It’s not actually as bad I thought it would be to be fair, the verses save it somewhat – but that hook and that euro-dance beat is just not hot. I don’t get it – I don’t get why R&B singers are seemingly forgetting that they’re…R&B singers!!! I’m always for experimenting, but this is different.

According to URB, Lauryn Hill will be headlining the 2010 Rock the Bells tour, but more to the point – she’s said to be performing The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in it’s entirety. What? At this point this hasn’t been 100% confirmed but there’ll be a press release about the entire festival taking place a little later today – in which case we’ll know more. But if this is true, and Lauryn Hill gets her sh*t together – this could be pretty fu*king epic. #hope.

…Ok, so I like this tune (a lot), and I’m feeling the video – ya’ll know I like my video/art a little on the dark side – but I can’t lie, the part towards the end where Rihanna is dressed as Slash is dumb. Who thought that would be a good idea? The entire video is sexy, sleek and then…Slash? Really? Not cool and kinda spoils the video abit. But yea, tune is still big in my opinion. This video is definitely not going to ease those devil worshipping rumours though haha.
Really Chris? Twoshit videos in one day? This track isn’t actually that bad, but my opinion is still very much the same – dude needs to go away for a minute, chill, come back strong. But that’s just me. I still think he’s better than this.
Last week the PinBoard team had the pleasure of sitting down with Ms Kelly Rowland while she was in London. Quite easily one of the most enjoyable interviews I’ve personally ever conducted, we discussed a variety of topics, but focused mainly on the music.
We talked about her new single, ‘Commander’, and it’s remix – Kelly hints that a certain rapper is itching to jump on it – and when we can expect it, the new album and how she refuses to be put ‘in a box’. She also talks about the producers and writers she worked with on the forthcoming LP, including Chris Brown and speaks about why she chooses not to judge him for his past.
Half way through the conversation, Kelly stops, turns to her management and says (on camera) – ‘wow, you might have just given me the album title’ (can you say exclusive??).
We also talked about the move from from her former managementcompany and why she felt that was a necessary decision. Kelly also discusses the legacy left behind by Destiny’s Child and upon talking about the groups seminal album The Writings on the Wall, she sings my personal favourite track off that album (and DC song period), the classic, ‘She Can’t Love You’ – nowthat‘s what you can call an exclusive.
