This sh*t is sounding mad crazy, really experimental – very different from what we’ve heard him do previously. I’m reserving my judgement on this until I listen to it fully a few times – not sure what to make of it right now – I think I may love it lol. Icon Grace Jones performed in London last night at the legendary Royal Albert Hall, the video (after the jump) is just incredible – her presence, her voice, her costume – everything about it/her is just incredible. This woman is 61 years old, it’s beyond belief. Jones recently spoke out against Lady GaGa in an interview she did with the Guardian – you should read it – it’s a brilliant article.
If you haven’t already heard Grace’s most recent album Hurricane (released back in 08), you really should. She’s on some next Bjork tip – sounds fresh. A little out there, but fresh nonetheless.

Today sees the (US) release of B.o.B’s album The Adventures of Bobby Ray and in celebration, we decided to drop the interview we did with him while he was in town a few weeks ago.
We discussed a number of things including what it was like for him growing up in Atlanta, the thought process behind his debut album, the difference between B.o.B & Bobby Ray, as well as possibly playing the Cello on stage (?!?), among other things!
The Adventures of Bobby Ray is released in the US today and sees a May 17th UK release. Either way, support good music and buy yourself a copy!
Gotta give it up to the homie Mike Hough for his SB.TV A64 – singing his own song called “She’s The One”, the guy smashes it! Strong vocals, good song – just him, a guitar and a backing singer (who I randomly know via the homie @MrCog?). Very big, you guys need to keep your eyes and ears locked on this dude - he’s going the distance. Keep up with him on twitter to be in the know.

Check out Monica responding to the praise Brandy recently gave her on the success of her latest album Still Standing. The R&B singer also discusses the twos past relationship, the ‘feud’ they were both sucked into and also the possibility of a future collaboration.
It’s great to see these guys have each others backs – there’s absolutely no reason why they shouldn’t. They both recorded one of the biggest R&B songs of all time (truth) and have been in the industry for such a long time – ‘beef’ is almost pointless at this point. And while I am extremely excited about the prospect of another collaboration between these two – I am a little worried that unless they come back HARD – it will be a big fat fail. “The Boy Is Mine” was recorded at a time when R&B was really, really cutting edge and at the forefront – unfortunately times have changed, drastically and so if they produced some lacklustre, soulless, standard R&B track – it really won’t be a good look on either of their parts.
…Hopefully it happens and happens right in any case!
Hamilton’s voice is so soulful, from the minute he opens his mouth you feel what he’s saying. I’m a big fan of this guy and I still do not get why so many people sleep on what he does and has been doing for a long time now.

Love what these guys have done. Their melodic, concious material I really believe is going to resonate with a lot of people. It’s 3 out of 3 so far with the leaks we’ve heard, so yea I remain excited about the album which drops May 17th.
