Peep these stills off of Maxwell’s upcoming new video for “Fistful of Tears” which will be hitting the nets on April 14th. So glad this track is getting the video treatment and by the looks of it – it’s going to be quite a cool, slick video too. It’s directed by the same guy who directed Maxwell’s “Pretty Wings”- Phil Andleman.
Drummer extraordinaire gave Rihanna a one-to-one lesson on how to play the drums in preparation of her upcoming tour and video for “Rockstar 1010″ which was shot yesterday.
After the jump you can peep a picture Travis leaked of the two on Rih-Rih’s new video.
This dude is gearing up to have one of the dopest albums of the year. Seriously. “Nothing On You” has gone all kinds of platinum and is still burning up the radio. This track is big so big, actually one of my favourite joints from B.o.B so far. Cannot wait to hear what Eminem comes with on this beat – damn. April 27th soon come – Adventures of Bobby Ray.
Dropping a video at the same time as Drake is never a good idea (I guess it’s also unforeseeable lol), but either way – check out Melanie Fiona’s brand new video for “Ay Yo”, off her debut album The Bridge.
I assume they’re off the new album? If so, it’s sounding real nice to me. Can’t wait for Lasers.
Aside from dropping two incredible albums (yea, I think both his albums are incredible – you don’t? Ah well), what I admire most about Lupe is his stage presence. I’ve seen his guy perform a good few times, both in tiny and big venues – each and everytime he’s impressed me. It’s not easy to find a rapper who can rock a stage like he does. #Truestories.
Conversations with Her is a 5 track deep EP, filled to the brim with beats infused with Soul and Jazz, but coated in that fresh Electronic-Hip Hop sound that we love. As the title suggests, the EP is all about conversations, we dudes, have with the opposite sex during a relationship. This for grown folks, not the the kiddies (although if you’re reading this and like what you hear, I won’t tell). This is that real is – the kind we’re always bitchin’ don’t exists. From top to bottom, Conversations With Her is fresh. Mellow grooves, sexy basslines, funky intersections – it’s got it all. Mar’s vocals and melodies are rather sensational. Everything here is just right.
Eric Roberson was so impressed with these guys and loved ‘She Was Fly’ so much, he laid his own vocals to it, naturally Full Crate & Mar included it in the EP, it’s track numero 5.
Cannot recommend enough, take a listen via their bandcamp below and then buy it via iTunes – it’s like £2.49!.
You know the deal with Street | Talk by now, right? The STREET section in this, the latest episode, asks every day New Yorker’s to share their opinions on America’s obsession with celebrity. The TALK portion is a sit down (well, stand up) interview with visual artist Ellis G – which you can check after the jump (definitely recommend doing so).
Ocillations Part 1 dropped a couple weeks back, now it’s time for Part 2…
Oscillations Part 2 is a free digital download designed to help spread the word far and wide about these amazing artists! So, tell a friend or two to come download it! Packaged with this download is a pdf booklet full of info on all the artists on Part 2, and also an incredible showcase of visual art – so don’t forget to give it a look once you’ve downloaded.
I’ve rinsed the hell out of Part 1, so I was naturally excited about the second portion. I’ve just downloaded this and am about to bite into it – I highly suggest you do the same. Make sure you cop the first part too – they’re both completely free!
This tune remains big to me. No one can take away Chris’ ability to perform, shame it’s all been kinda wasted. See the crowd? They didn’t even seem that into it. He’s still young, so who knows what the years ahead bring.
‘member Oliva? She dropped that dope track “Bizounce” (I know, stupid name and ‘word’ but dope track nonetheless), then she epically failed by signing to G-Unit, but swiftly got dropped. Anyways, with a new deal with Universal on the table she’s back and this time with Drake on her track…
Yeeea, I like this. This is that aggressive R&B that Olivia first came with. Singing hooks for Fiddy was never going to be a great look. But this, this I fuxx with. She sounds good and the melody is working. “Control” comes off Olivia’s new album Show The World which should (hopefully) drop at the end of the year. Oh and having Drake on the track? Win.
Not sure if many know about Bruno Marks, I’ve featured him a couple times on PinBoard before, but only on other peoples tracks – most recently B.o.B’s “Nothing On You”, but this his solo stuff, check it out…
I really like this dudes voice – it’s nice and clear, but also distinguishable – which in R&B (especially these days) is pretty crucial, for me at least. I like this track, not sure love it but I think I need to listen to it a couple more times to be sure. I like the live sounding instrumentation I’m hearing too. Definitely open to hear more new material.
