EP: Daru Jones & Kissey Asplund – “So Good”

I think you’re going to like this. I was planning on posting this when it first dropped last week, but it got a little buried under everything else. Nonetheless, I’m still excited (even after a week of non-stop-listening) to bring this to your attention.

Daru Jones and Kissy Asplund deliver a deliciously soulful experience with their new So Good EP. The 5 track project (7 including the bonus cuts) puts Jones’ impeccable production style on blast, while being perfectly accentuated by Kissey Asplund’s nu-soul vocals. So Good is just that: So… Freakin’…Good. It gives you absolutely no reason to skip any tracks, simply press play and let it work it’s soothing magic on you. My only critisim, if that’s what you could call it, would be that it ends too quickly – we need more!
