Miss Badu just put up a teaser for her upcoming “Window Seat” video on her official website - head over there now to check it out. Not sure if this is how the video will ultimately look, or if this is something totally different. Either way, ya’ll know – if it’s Badu, I’m down. I have to say, this tune has fast become an obsession of mine – I am yet to bore of it. It’s just such a great tune man. March 30th soon cometh.

KiD CuDi chats about how he got the role on ‘How To Make It In America’, life as an actor, the rest of the crew, being new to the game, amongst other things.
…While I think it’s great that CuDi is jumping on the acting thing and feel that he’s definitely started with the right show (cool, young, fun etc) – I must say, at this point (4 episodes in) – he hasn’t really had much of a role. Now, that may change, his character may develop and actually, I hope it does because the little we have seen of him – he’s acted quite convincingly.

GMA joins Beyonce and her mum as they open their collaborative charity venture, the Beyoncé Cosmetology Center – which will help recovering addicts get back on their feet. The mother-daugher duo sit down for a short interview, where they discuss their bond, the importance of such a venture and of course, Beyonce’s relationship with husband Jay-Z.
…The rock on her finger (which she mistakenly leaves on during the interview) is ridiculous lol. Sheeeit. Also quite funny hearing Bey saying “oh gosh mom” when Tina says she’s “praying” for grandchildren. Lol.

After his arrest for allegedly soliciting a police woman last week, D’Angelo breaks his silence with the following statement…
“We know there is a lot of speculation in regard to the arrest of D’Angelo in New York City this past weekend. We would like his fans and the public at large to know that D’Angelo has plead not guilty — and is contesting the allegations made against him. Also know that he is in good health and extremely excited about his forthcoming new album. D’Angelo would like to personally thank all of his fans for the outpouring of concern, and appreciates if all would allow the American justice system to resolve the matter before jumping to any conclusions.” [Source]
You know that highlighted statement means: he’s not fat and his new album is still coming out. Lol! I’m glad to hear it. As I said when we initially reported this mess, I just hope he gets through this and drops that promised album. Can’t be dealing with any more delays. We’ve waited long enough, no?

Wow, I’ve never heard or seen this before? And from what I can see, it’s been around for a couple weeks. Thanks to lovely Woosh who brought it to my attention. Jill Scott performed a brand new track called “Hear My Call” at the 41st Annual NAACP Awards – I’m unsure whether or not this will be on the new album, but it’s definitely new. You can download “Hear My Call” here, with all proceeds going to the ‘NAACP Help Haiti’ fund.
The song is beautiful and moving and of course, it always the way miss Jilly Scott performs that makes it really touch your soul. I need that new album, like yesterday.
