Er, I like this tune and I quite the album – but, sorry, Rhi-Rhi, have you heard of Janelle Monae? Is it just me, or does it seem like she’s channelling her quite heavily here?

omg i completely agreee just in the snippet u can see that and hear that even the hair style.. na-uhh.
The back drop is inspired by Keith Hering (80's New York graffiti artist) that also ties into the clothing which also seems to be very Body-map (80's/90's London urban clubbing clothing line) the hair has been lifted from Spring/Summer 2010 catwalks where "buns" where seen on Lanvin, Marc Jacob's and Nina Richie to name a few. Did all these people from past and present also bite off Janelle? People need to stop hating everything is a refrence… Peace!
I can see what could be the Janelle Monae inspiration. However, I don't really see it working for Rih. Oh well!
Agreed, I can see where you think JM…but overall, I think Rihanna is giving a vibe totally left of Janelle's. I dig it though. Speaking of Janelle Monae…she has new music…I wonder what those videos will look like????
