This sounds real, real nice! I’m definitely feelin’ this a lot. Joss’ voice sounds brilliant on it and the instrumentation on it works brilliantly with the songs message. Sounds dope with Nas on there too. This really reminds me of one of those 1960/70′s political soul records. Can’t lie, Stone has me excited about the new album – I’ve enjoyed the leaks thus far.

Oh. Dear. It’s not looking great for Alexandra. I really want to say nice, positive things and in that vein, I will say: her voice sounds great. She’s got a great recording voice – I hear elements of Toni Braxton and even, dare I say, Whitney Houston. But the track? Nah, I’m sorry – this track is not hot, in any shape or form. The 80′s pop production – it’s not working.
…This is incredibly frustrating because I’m sure if anyone asked Alexandra before she won the X-Factor what kind of music she would make if she had a record deal – I’m pretty confident she would not have chosen this type of song. This girl loves Beyonce, she spent her entire time on X-Factor singing ‘R&B’ songs – why the heck is she making this type of music. I just don’t understand why labels are so scared of having someone who has a voice most suited to R&B/Soul sing R&B/Soul. We’ve proven time and time again that these artists can have worldwide success – stop making them sound manufactured.
Sorry, rant over. I think Alex could be a dope artist given the right material and I guess, ultimately, the freedom. I’m less and less hopeful for the album, but I have no doubt that she’ll end up making the music that suits her best at some point.

ANNOUNCES HER FIRST UK TV PERFORMANCE IN 12 YEARS!
SHE WILL PERFORM ON THE X FACTOR ON 18TH OCTOBER
Global superstar Whitney Houston is set to do her first UK TV performance in 12 years! She is set to perform on The X Factor on October 18th, the day before she releases her brand new album ‘I Look To You’. Whitney says: “I have always loved my UK fans and I’m thrilled to perform for them on X Factor. I am also a fan of Simon Cowell’s and look forward to meeting him. It should be a fun night.”
‘I Look To You’ entered at #1 in the US album charts with 305,000 sales. The biggest week one sale of her career and the biggest of any female artist this year. Whitney’s second album “Whitney” was the first ever by a female artist to enter the US chart at #1 in 1987. Her last #1 album “Bodyguard” spent 20 weeks at the top spot in 1993.
On ‘I Look To You’, her first studio album since 2002, Houston has once again teamed up with her longtime collaborator, the legendary music business executive Clive Davis. “This album has more elements than any other Whitney album and that has made it very exciting to work on,” says Davis. “Almost every song is a candidate for a single.”
Whitney Houston has sold an incredible 134 million albums, 11 million in the UK alone. Little wonder then that ‘I Look To You’ is one of the most anticipated albums of this or any other year.
