‘Member these guys? So Solid come back, completely out the blue, with a new track and video. Not so much of a crew anymore though – just Mega Man, Lisa Mafia and Romeo now. Hard times. The video also features a (rather unfunny (sorry)) cameo by UK comedian Kojo.

Will this song be a hit? I’m not too convinced, but still, guess it’s kinda cool to see these guys back.

Brand new Leona Lewis track just surfaced, it comes off her upcoming album Echo

Leona Lewis – “I Got You”

Firstly, I anticipate the powers that be killin’ that download link quickly, so download it fast time.

…Now, on to the song – eek, I really want to say good things about it, but the truth is, Leona is not holding it down as an artist. A truly great voice she most certainly has, but depth, soul, interest – she unfortunately does not have. It’s a damn shame too. One of the best singers we the world has and she sings the crapiest songs. What I will say however, is that this, in my opinion is above and beyond better than her lead single “Happy”. This track reminds of “Bleeding Love”, just no where as good.

Whitney Houston performed live on the X-Factor tonight (Sunday 18th), marking her first UK performance in over a decade. The superstar, who mentored the contestants along side Clive Davis, performed her huge comeback single “Million Dollar Bill” off her new album I Look To You. The vocal may not have been pitch perfect, but that’s pretty irrelevant when it comes to this lady. She did fantastic, I truly enjoyed her performance! And she went strong despite having a pretty serious wardrobe malfunction, with the back of her dress coming undone. Someone is obviously getting fired tonight. Admittedly the little chat she had with Dermot was, erm, strange to say the least. Don’t really know what to say about that, wouldn’t want to speculate too much. And in that chat it was very, very clear that she basically thought the contestants…Sucked, saying “they’re, erm, very…Young”. Ha. Whitney is and always will be Whitney – a straight to the point Diva. And regardless of how I feel, I perfer it when the mentors give constructive criticism, rather than just standing there, smiling and saying “that was fantastic”.

All in all, Whitney Houston returned and did a brilliant job. Loved it all. She’s incredible < Fact.

Another brilliant week. The X-Factor is proving to be the biggest show in the world right now.

Peace, Love & Whitney Houston

The director behind what would have been the best show of all time, talks to Oprah about Michael Jackson and the entire “This Is It” project. The clips include exclusive clips from the movie, which hits cinema’s, worldwide, on my birthday – October 28th.

Cannot express how excited I am about seeing this film. I think it’s going to be one of the greatest musical moments caught on camera. I also think it’s going to be one hell of an emotional ride. Seeing Michael Jackson, in a way none of us have ever seen him and knowing how it all ended. It’s going to be very, very, very deep.

Peace, Love & Michael Jackson

drake

3 brand new Drake joints. The first is an unfinished joint off Timbalands upcoming Shock Value 2, the second and third are reportedly leaks off Drake’s new album (although, that’s not confirmed). Take a listen and see what you think…

Drake – “Say Something” (Feat Timbaland) // “Believe It Or Not” (Feat Gucci Mane) // “King Leon”

I can pretty much say, all three of these tracks are hot. Drake, unlike a few others, is proving he isn’t all ‘hype’, but is someone who is actually dropping quality music. But yea, Universal need to jump on it because I have a feeling, by the time the album drops, we’ll have all the tracks.

…Still not a fan of this song. The video reflects what the track is about, so guess I need not express my opinion. Leona’s voice still kills most out there at the moment.

I’m a big fan of Queen Latifah’s but good Lord, this sucks. The song and the video (despite the cool cameos) are both as equally bad.
