I don’t hate it. This is pretty much a first for me, I don’t tend to enjoy the music Mario puts out. No offence to him, not saying his music is rubbish – just generally, not my kind of thing is all. This is actually kinda funny. I must say, I like the fact that Madonna is able to make fun of herself in this way. GaGa has clearly been influenced by Madge, so to see them taking the piss out of each other in that way is pretty cool.

I know this isn’t music related, but Maya Angelou is one of the most extraordinary writers we have. Her stories, poems and speeches are like no one else’s. I, like so many others, look up to her with great admiration, she has achieved and has come so far in her life, it’s almost hard to comprehend. To learn she has been taken ill is very sad, I only pray it is something she can come through. At present I’m unsure why she’s been taken to hosptial, the story is still developing but as soon as any new information comes through, I’ll post it up.

I have nothing but love for Shola Ama. One of the best vocalists the UK has – it’s a damn shame she’s been away for so long. And may I just say, my girl is looking O-V-E-R-L-Y hot! Damn. I saw her out and about recently and was amazed at how great she’s looking. This tune is big, while I try and deny the funky house movement – I seem to failing miserably. I’m liking this.

Whitney Houston sang “I Look To You” live on a German TV show while over here in Europe promoting her comeback LP. And boy, did she sing it. Sounding better than she has in a very, very, very long time, Houston really did blow me away. So glad to hear that voice again. And yes, we all know it’s not the voice she once had, but she’s still sounding brilliant.

I do like her version, but the new album is ridiculously awful. Anyone who says its good has either got their head so far up their own (or Mariah’s) ass OR wouldnt know what good music is if it slapped them round the face. The fact is, Mariah Carey still cites Butterfly as her proudest album for a reason. This. Woman. No. Longer. Makes. Good. Music.
