FINALLY! Some brand new Whitney music! This Diane Warren/David Foster produced track is Whitney’s first, official single off hr upcoming album I Look To You

Whitney Houston – “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength”

I love it. Really, I do. I know many people will have problems with it, but you know, I respect Whitney so much for coming out with a classic, age appropriate power ballad. Too many artists, who have been around a long time, come out with material that they feel can compete with the Beyonce’s/Rihanna’s of this world. Truth is, they can’t. I mean, Mariah Carey and her new single is a classic example of what I’m saying. Whitney’s voice is clearly still there, while not as clear and clean as it once was, but you know, she’s grown now.

I think it’s a brilliant song. But what do YOU think?

Peace, Love & Whitney Houston

P.s Will of course post the downloadable version as soon as it’s available Grab it while you can folks!

  1. Lazenby Jones says:

Who makes this kind of boring pap anymore?? LOL

The track is bland and Whitney's voice does little to provide interest.
What is clear, is her once legendary voice is now a hoarse, raspy, breathy shadow of its former self.

-10 to you Speeakz for endorsing this very average track from this once defining diva.

  2. Soul UK says:

I'm with Speeakz on this. OK it's not the track that I expected for the comeback (I thought she'd try and compete with the Beyonces/Rhiannas) and it's not up there with some of her best ballads, however it is a solid track and will serve as a good 'reintroduction' of Ms. Houston.

The 2nd single needs to be HUGE though!

  3. Makaida says:

"Age appropriate" surely doesn't mean out-dated, generic schmaltz does it??

I'm so disappointed in this. It can't be the single..

  4. [...] to have song names at this point. You’ll remember a couple weeks ago a buzz track entitled “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” hit the net, which will be proceeded by the albums first official single “Million Dollar [...]
