My girl is wearing that to an interview? I guess that’s what one does when you find it difficult to articulate a structured and somewhat interesting sentence.
P.s In other Jackson news, it’s being reported that Janet Jackson wants to step up and become the legal guardians of Michael’s children. Whether reports are to be believed or not, I really think this is much, much healthier option for them children.
The abuse of the English language aside, I like these girls…Well, let me rephrase that – I really, really, really love their track “So Fresh” featuring KanYe. Man, I rinsed that tune to the max – still do actually. Anyways, their mixtape hit the TinterNet’s this week, and is executive produced by T-Pain. I posting it up on the hopes that their debut single is a good indicator of what their music is going to be like. I haven’t listened to it myself, but am about to press play right now. This could go either way, it could be tight, or a complete mess. SO, if you’re into some edgy R&B girl-group ish, download and have a gander. If not, aiight – fair dues.

I don’t even know what to say. In a desperate attempt to say something positive, I’ll say: Lil’ Kim looks better than I’ve seen her look in a very, very, very long time. For one, she no longer looks like a white-Chinese lady. But as far as her ‘performance’ goes, why the heck is she singing? I mean, how is that a fitting tribute to Nelson Mandela? The man has been through enough already!
HOWEVER. And what I’m about to say even confuses me, especially given what I’ve just said. It must be said, that that clip is kinda, in a strange, weird way kinda sweet. Especially when Cyndi sings “Puts Your Lighters Up”. Damn. I dunno what I’m saying tonight. Ignore me. Lol.

I’m a big fan of this girl, she’s dope. I caught her at Wireless and she really impressed me! The label recently sent me her album too – which is again, really, really good. She’s not ‘just another’ new-wave pop singer, she’s actually really talented and has something real to say – never a bad thing.

Just realised, I haven’t posted any Ye’ performances for a minute. Eh, I don’t really see the point posting the same songs performed in different countries, but this went down in LDN – so it’s ok.
…Also, just realised – KanYe actually achieved what he set out to with 808′s – to get white kids singing his tunes at festivals. Congrats son. Can’t knock that hustle.
iHipHop had the opportunity to sit down with freshman phenom, Wale, last week in Chicago. The rapper discussed how his direct line of communication with Jay-Z has given him a leg up in business type situations. He also cited Jay’s advice as allowing him to maintain a certain amount of normalcy in the fast paced hip-hop world. Wale delves into the rapid evolution of the DC hip hop scene, and what the fans can expect from his debut album on Alido/Interscope “Attention Deficit”.
…It’s blatently obvious that a lot of that is based on how MJ thought the world saw him. The village folk representing the press/world branding him “weird and strange” and him, the freak in the massive ‘scary’ mansion. It’s just sad, man. The thought of living your entire life with the knowledge that people thought of you in that light. However, as I said, this is just another example of his genius and ability to turn his downfalls into something creative and positive. I love that he plays that white dude too – he was a decent actor.
Rumours saying he couldn’t get through his MJ tribute. Other (more credible) reports say he was crazy ill. If it was the latter, then ok – we accept. But if it was that he couldn’t get through his tribute, I say: suck it up son!
