Producer/Emcee Damu the Fudgemunk is back with another free project for y’all, Same Beat. The project is an A/V EP. Including the dope artwork (by Joe Buck), an audio file for Same Beat below, and two MPC performance + freestyle vids after the jump. Apparently Damu still does not see himself as a rapper, but I think he’s killin’ it on this one. Shout out to JNOTA for the great work as usual.

While I didn’t think Usher’s last album was as terrible as everyone else, this is the kinda joint he needs to come back hard. Although, I can’t help but think Justin Timberlake would sound a billion times better on this haha! It’s good to hear such great production from the Neptunes (Lord knows, it’s been a minute).

Rumours have been making their rounds today about Jay-Z buying himself out of his current contract with Def Jam, which would see him having to deliver one more album for them. Well, Rap Radar got the exclusive word, straight from the Jay…
With rumors swirling around Jay’s Def Jam contract buyout, Hov exclusively spoke to Rap Radar to confirm the speculation.
“I can honestly say, working with Doug Morris and LA Reid has been a unique and fulfilling experience and I respect them immensely. I’ve been in the family for almost my entire career.
Doug and I spoke directly and had one of the most unique “negotiations” ever. Doug won the toss but, we both won in the end..
I thank him for allowing me to be a completely independent artist. Not every artist can say they own or are given the opportunity to own all of their music.”

What you think? You know I got mad love for this lady, but I’m not overly lovin’ this video. I mean, it’s cool and the choreography is dope (as per usual), but it doesn’t really have that ‘wow’ factor like say “Diva” delivered. She’s still the hottest chick in the game though haha!
