I haven’t seen all of these yet, but I just spotted this over at NahRight and remembered how D.O.P.E the G.O.O.D Music show was last night [watched it via the feed on Ye's blog]. My God. KanYe, who did mess up quite a few times, did kill it but having KiD CuDi, Consequence, Fonzworth Bentley, Big Sean, Common AND Erykah Badu (to name a few) on ONE stage doing their thing was incredible. I got home around 3.30am last night after the Black Milk gig/afterparty (review and EXCLUSIVE interview soon come!) which was perfect, coz by that time it was all going down.

Mariah Carey has reportedly put in a bid to buy one of the most expensive mansions in California. The Fleur de Lys, in the Beverly Hills area has a price tag of $125 million and was built by the billionaire David Saperstein. The fiv-acre property was inspired by the Vaux le Vicomte palace just outside Paris (I think I’ve actually been there?) and boasts an impressive:
“15 bedrooms, Italian marble walls, French limestone floors, gold-embossed leave wall coverings, gold leaf crown moldings, a ballroom with ceiling frescoes, a library complete with rare books, two kitchens and a screening room with seating for 50.” As if that wasn’t enough, it also comes with “rolling lawns, ornamental gardens and mature trees, a 3,000 sq foot manager’s house, staff quarters for 10 people, a spa and a pool with a pavilion, a championship tennis court and a lavish garden folly.”
…How does that make you feel? LOL. Man, I actually can’t believe that place. It looks riiiiidicously over the top, but remarkably seems ‘just enough’ for Mimi (*cough* and “me and you, your mama and yo’ cousin too”). I have to say, forget Diddy or Trump, Branson or Gates – the REAL business man, the real don is straight up: Nick Cannon! You kidding me? That pickney gets to leave THERE coz he married Mariah Carey – THAT’S business.
Absolutely amazing. It’s unsure how much Carey has put forward to buy the property, but I’m sure it ain’t no pocket change. Also, I love that these celebs are complexly unaware of this whole ‘recession’ thing everyones talking about.
