Kelly Rowland Dropped By Record Label [NEWS]
Posted In Blog by Speeakz

According to reports, former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland has been dropped be her record label, just some two months after firing long-time manager (and ‘adopted’ father) Mathew Knowles. News of the World are reporting that despite the fact that her first two solo albums sold more than four million copies, Columbia fear she is “no longer commercially viable” as an artist.
Wow. I mean, I can’t say I’m surprised by this at all. Kelly Rowland’s solo career hasn’t exactly been strong over the past few years (…or ever for that matter?). I can’t imagine how hard it is for someone to be as talented as she is, but yet always coming second to former band member and best friend Beyonce – and I mean that in every sense from record label attention, to sales, touring etc. It’s unfortunate but true that she will always play second fiddle to Bey. Sad fact. Also, is it purely coincidentally that my girl is dropped just two months after firing Poppa Knowles? Something don’t seem right there at all.
So, what’s next for Rowland? Who knows, in this recession I’m not entirely sure if record labels will be banging down the door to sign her. Personally, I think she should call her to bestie’s and hook up another DC-3 tour. Bring in those bucks while she can.
Oh and, what does this mean for Michelle Williams? Lord knows she ain’t “commericially viable”.
Peace, Love & Kelly Rowland

This is disappointing as it seems that these young women from DC are more interesting alone. Barring Beyonce who is simply dire. I will support Miss Rowland in whatever her endeavors are.-QH
