We all know KanYe is in town for Fashion Week and all, but while he was over here, he also got down to business on the new Mr. Hudson album…
Semtex who joined Hudson & Ye in the studio said [via his blog]:
I’ve witnessed a lot of incredible moments in Hip-Hop first hand.
Working with Lauryn Hill in her prime, Dizzee Rascal winning the Mercury award, attending a marketing meeting with Jay-z, hosting my show from the 28th floor of the Def jam offices in NY, Lil Wayne in Amsterdam the Good Music after party to name a few, but last night was system overload.
He continued by saying that during the session “several bangers were cooked up” and that “after 808s, its crazy to see Kanye spitting fire again, it’s like he’s been re-energised, he’s back on that College Dropout sh*t!”. KanYe wanted the moment the be filmed coz “this is history in the making” and so Sem, being Sem recorded over 3 hours of footage – which you know he’ll be dropping at some point!.
Pretty exciting stuff right? Mr. Hudson and Semtex have both been twittering about their studio time, so I gotta say, I’m pretty damn excited about hearing what they’re all up to. We’re to expext new music in the summertime…!
