M.I.A Feat Jay-Z – “Boys” [Tags]
I ain’t even gonna lie, I’ve never been the biggest M.I.A fan. Don’t get me wrong, she’s dropped some SERIOUS tunes, but something about her just…bugs me? Having said that, this is one of the tracks I love of hers and with Jay-Z on the remix…How could you not love it? Despite my personal feelings, I think it’s great to see M.I.A finally getting the attention she deserves. Even though Hip Hop was seriously late, I think it’s helped her out big time.
Oh, don’t forget – she’s nominated for a MOBO too!

She has actually done something very good with this song, I am Sri Lankan, the Beat that she has used in this track is 6/8, 6/8 is a traditional Sri lankan drum pattern that is always used in Sri Lankan traditional Music (baila). Good to see her putting out some foreign tradition in to modern songs.
