As previously reported a whole host of female mega-stars, including Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and Leona Lewis strung together to record “Just Stand Up” a charity song in aid of the “Stand Up To Cancer” campaign. While the concept and cause are both great, unfortunately the song isn’t. I’m sure many will love it, but personally I hate these types of cheesy lyrical songs. A song like this should be inspiration and say something meaningful, not just be fluffy, with lyrics like “you can make it” or “just stand up” < who needs that crap? LOL! Nevertheless, I’m hoping people like/support the single because at the end of the day, regardless of personal taste it’s raising money for an amazing cause.
