Damu The Fudgemunk – "Over Time"

Hands up, how many of you know about Damu? Be honest now? Don’t worry, it’s OK if you don’t, that’s why Speeakz is here. No, not to patronise you, but to educate you on a truly dope dude!

I can’t tell you how happy I was when this dropped today. And, how happy I am that I now have a medium [a la PinBoard] in which I can introduce this guy to you…!

Damu The Fudgemunk is a super, dupa beat maker. The guys a monster. Earlier this year he released “Spare Time”, which pretty much blew my mind. What this guy can do is truly remarkable. It’s just, great Hip Hop! It’s that music you can easily to chill to, rave to or walk to, read to even! It does it all. All-round good music.

Now, just 8 months later Damu releases “Over Time” a collection of beats and ideas that he couldn’t fit on it’s predecessor. Yet again, this guy delivers. You gotta listen to what he does to truly understand what he’s about. It’s more than ‘just beats’, he produces soulful jams – kinda reminds me a lil’ of Dilla (rest in peace).

Oh, did I mention he releases this dope sh*t for FREE? Yuh. Like, legit free!

I decided to pop both his albums in this one post, coz I think you need both. Listen to them in order (“Spare Time” then “Over Time”) and I promise you, like me you’ll be rinsing both albums in no time. I could gush (even more) about this guy forever, but instead imma stop typing and let him do all the talkin…
