R.Kelly is a about to release his latest album entitled “12 Play: 4th Quarter” and has decided that the albums first single will be “Hairbraider”.

[dailymotion id=x56q1m]

The video premiered yesterday and well, we don’t really know what to say. The R.Kelly of yester-year (in our opinion) has gone, looooong gone and this “new” R.Kelly just seems so, slack! Aside from his creepy personal life, his music of late has been so disappointing and this? Like, what is this? Really?

Please do shed some light into this video and tell us what you think!?

Peace, Love & R.Kelly

Leona Lewis performed “Bleeding Love” on American Idol last night and she did so amazinly. We all know this song by now (a bit too well, if you ask us!) and we all know how she sings it (a bit too well, if you ask us!), but that doesn’t take away how great she does it!

So, Ellen, Oprah, Jimmy Kimmell and now American Idol? Dudes, that’s crazy s***. The PinBoard Crews’ extended family believe Leona Lewis is involved in some massive conspiracy (lol!) or has just, plainly put, sold her soul to the devil (ouch!). Admittedly, the level of her success is pretty much unrivaled! But then, she does have an amazing voice!?

Who knows, what YOU think??

This isn’t just a new Fergie track, this is the opening number in the up-coming Sex and The City movie! Fergie, is set to re-release her solo album “The Dutchess“; a whole TWO years after originally releasing it, in an attempt to further her “career” – Yuh. Good luck.

“Labels and Ladies” features the now iconic SATC theme tune but obviously this time, with a “Fergalicious” twist…

They kinda need this to be a BIG tune and well…YOU tell us if they’ve succeeded!?

Fergie – “Labels and Ladies”

LOL.

Amy Winehouse, despite her personal problems/demon’s, is without a doubt an amazing talent and is probably the most interesting musical find of the past 5-10 years. She’s dope, we all know this. Her first album “Frank“, which at the time of it’s release got VERY little attention sales-wise, was critically acclaimed (across the board) and was a stunning debut. We’re happy it’s NOW, finally getting the recognition it deserves.

Then she dropped “Rehab” and her second album “Back To Black” and we all know how that ended. Multi-platium in the UK, US and in many other parts of the world…FIVE Grammy Awards and a whole host of other accolades! Good stuff. Not to mention a new found drug problem! Bad Stuff.

Anyway’s, now Winehouse has been nominated for [another] three Ivor Novello Songwriting Awards. Her tracks “Love is a Losing Game” and “You Know I’m No Good” are both up for best song this year. Amy’s “Rehab”, which picked up the Ivor Novello Award for best contemporary song last year, is up for the best selling British song price. The Ivor Novello Awards honour British music publishers, songwriters and composers and will be held in London on May 22nd.

Big Stuff.

We’re hoping she gets better soon and delivers another [dope] album SOON!

Peace, Love & Amy Winehouse

Mariah Carey’s up-coming single “Bye Bye” has been remixed and features non-other than Mr Hova himself. Have a listen, it’s still not our favourite track but Jay-Z does his thing on it and so, we’d recommend you check it out (if not, JUST for Jay-Z’s verse!)

Mairah Carey Feat Jay-Z – “Bye Bye”

In other Mariah related News:

MC’s “E=MC2” has debut at Number 1 in the U, S of A! As reported previously here on PinBoard, Mimi has sold a redunkulous amount of copies of “E=MC2″; although official figures won’t be released till later today, it has been reported that Carey has shipped well over 475,000 units and is said to probably be hitting the 500,000 mark [Dudes, just think about that for a second! That amount of albums sold in ONEweek!], beating off ALL competition including that of the Baby Diva herself, Ms Leona Lewis [who, lets not forget broke some serious records with just her debut album!]. Speaking of the Baby Diva, Mariah Carey has recently spoken about Lewis and hmmm…we sense a bit of ‘Bitch-Assness’ up in her statements!

Mariah said:

Honestly, there has been so many, ‘This is the new her,’ and I’m like, ‘OK, show me the new her. Can she come and work for me and be my double?’ And I’m not particularly talking about this girl Leona, because I only heard her once and I didn’t really hear a true similarity, particularly in the style of music. It is what it is and critics have compared me to so many people who are not really singers, and they’re certainly not writers. If I was to focus on the comparisons and really dwell on that, it would bring me down so I just try to pray that I lose the spirit of jealousy, it’s not a good one – envy is a really powerful thing

Ouch…!

Now, we know Leona Lewis is no Mariah (in terms of experience/diva-status etc) BUT still…Mariah need not be like this? The bottom line is: Leona Lewis is a great talent and she should be commended by greats like MC - especially considering the fact that Leona has said (SO many times) that Mariah Carey is one of her biggest idols! Besides Mimi knows – ain’t no one taking her crown!

Regarding the sales of “E=MC2” – pffft, to think ppl were counting MC out of the game a few years ago! Muuuaaaaahahahah!

What do YOU think of the track and Mariah Carey’s comments???

Peace, Love and Mariah Carey
