Ooops.
It seems, according to sources, R&B singer Omarion is out of a record deal!
In an all-too-familiar situation, Omarion has been “released from his contract” [got fiiiyaaaa'd!] due to lack of album sales. This is happening a lot recently, labels don’t think you’re selling enough – you’re out. This is especially true when an act like Omarion had so much money invested in production and promotion of his albums and they both under-perform.
In December 2003, Omarion signed to Columbia Records (Sony), straight after B2K broke up. ‘O’ was set for super stardom by many, including industry insiders (hence the quick solo deal!), but like so many lead singers of successful bands – it never reeeeally took off.
The 23 year old released two solo albums: 2005’s ”O” and 2006’s “21″ but despite the a-list production credits which included Timbaland, The Neptunes and Scott Storch, both only went gold. Omarion recently collaborated with rapper Bow Wow on a joint-album “Face Off” which has, according to Neilson SoundScan sold around 341,137 units.
As part of B2K the singer saw world-wide success. Posed as the “next Dru Hill”, they were flying high off the success of singles like “Girlfriend”, “Uh Huh” and “Bump Bump Bump”. However in 2003 for a number of alleged reasons (including financial difficulties between management and personal problems within the band), the band broke up and Omarion quickly descended into a solo career.
As an actor, Omarion starred in the films ‘You Got Served,’ ‘Fat Albert,’ ‘Feel The Noise’ and the straight-to-DVD release, ‘Somebody Help Me’.
There is no word on what the singer’s plans are for life after Columbia Records, but we reckon, despite his low album sales he’ll find a record label home soon enough. Good luck we say!
Peace, Love & ‘O’ No!

Well it is sad,but i still think songs like “Ice Box” will stay cool forever and we all must admit that even though he might not be as great as other singers,he is very..very sexy^^
